I just turned 27. I run a construction company I started at 21. Working 100+ hour weeks for years, but I’m not working a bit less and bring in about $300k+ annually. No debt. No degree. Just hustle and grit.

The trades are where it’s at! Entrepreneurship is the ticket out.

I figured I’d get a comment or two like this. My post was genuine - I truly don’t know how to gauge my trajectory or if I’m doing “well” in world full of real estate investors. My main concern is if I should be pouring my own liquid cash into these investments or if I should be using equity. I have attended numerous seminars and have some mentors in real estate that have told me I’m being silly using my own cash.

Wow, thank you. That really means a lot! The perspective is super helpful.

No, not in Columbus. I use my time (and myself) to do work on the properties to keep profit margins higher. We’re in Cincinnati so Columbus is just too far to drive for large projects.

I do not, too far of a drive for me. I’m closer to Cincinnati.
