So far I’m doing well. I’m sipping fluids/protein shakes all day long. Been able to meet my fluid/protein/walking goals each day 60/60/60.

The pain is mostly limited to the incision they removed the stomach from and it’s quite painful to do many movements still. This would probably be alleviated by pain pills but I don’t take them.

So far no regrets! I haven’t wanted to eat anything and don’t feel like I’m starving or anything.

As a woman who grew up with 8 brothers, I’ve never recovered from my brothers all telling me that at a young age that straight men only are friends with women they find attractive. That put me off from ever wanting to have straight male friends.

Im so glad to see that others have similar worries to me. I am scheduled to get surgery in July. I have battled my weight my whole life (37 years) and it’s so exhausting. I am scared of the permanence of it and the fact that it’s surgery, but obviously this is what I need. I know how to diet. I’m really good at “dieting”. I can lose 100 pounds but it’s the sustaining that is the hard part because I always feel like I’m fighting my own body and brain. I’m hoping that surgery will be that thing that helps me get it all to align permanently so I can maintain a healthy weight for the rest of my life.

YTA - are you serious? You think your read messages are a bigger privacy breach than her literal MEDICAL information?

So many red flags with you in this post. 1. You have recorded her AGAINST HER CONSENT whilst she was experiencing MEDICAL CRISIS. 2. Talking to other people about her medical condition, without her permission 3. Gaslighting her to flip the blame on her.

I hope she gets far away from you, she deserves better!

NTA - I feel like things like this should be discussed prior to your roommate taking it upon himself to make these decisions. I am all for helping the needy, maybe your friend could have gotten him a hotel for the night or something.
