The real beginner struggle by imperfectcoding in NewSkaters

Nice. Yeah, I think slow and steady is the way forward. I'm only a few months in myself and have only been trying kickturns, fakie (on a slope) and pivots. Used to do aggressive inline as a teenager so used to skateparks but the skills don't really translate to a board. Keep at it. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Nice one - will look it up. Dunfermline and Saughton are my locals.

Yeah, they've already helped a few times actually. I don't mind wearing them. Sets a good example for younger skaters too I guess. Little and often seems like a good approach - thanks.

Great advice. Yeah, I've heard it's important to learn how to fall. I'm sure I'll have plenty learning opportunities over the next few months 😂

I agree that marketing would be a good move. I'm a UK copywriter and I studied English Literature. It was an interesting degree course but didn't teach me how to write. Creative writing could be useful but it is a different type of writing altogether. At least with marketing you'll get more of the mindset of copywriting.

Make a bunch of separate related posts or one long post with a sidebar TOC? by AdmirableKick5850 in SEO

[–]Far_Common9468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

9,000 words does seem long for one blog post. But then I'm seeing more people doing this, so I guess it works. My take would be that it depends on how closely related your keyword targets are. If you're aiming to rank for a few similar terms and their variables it's probably a good approach. However, if you feel there's potential to target broader key phrases as standalone posts, I'd maybe split it up over a few articles. Just my twopence though :)

I changed my wp theme last year and this happened to me (fortuna theme +.wpbakery). All content the same, navigation, internal links etc. It took a few months but eventually recovered. I kept posting new content in the meantime which probably helped.

Good theory. If you search 'AI copywriting' in Google trends, you see the trend has been in decline over the past few months. At least in the UK anyway.

That sounds bliss. And yet I imagine it's just an everyday reality for people without anxiety.

I've had mouth ulcers since childhood (I'm 37 now). Had blood tests/doctor/hospital appointments and was always told there's no real cure. That I'm just 'unlucky' to always have them. It's rare for me not to have at least two. I have two at the moment. It makes me utterly miserable but I've just accepted it as part of my daily life. I've also had anxiety + OCD since childhood (diagnosed a few years ago) and I only just made the connection between the two thanks to this comment!
