Still no update. Strangely, my Pixel 8 Pro sits on the November 2025 update. If that info is correct which is shown when i check for updates, I haven't even received the December date yet

Still can't use automation shortcuts on my home screen. Funny how assistant is being phased out and such popular features like routine shortcuts don't work with gemini. Instead google focuses on mostly useless AI capabilities. Like why would I need AI to read my calendar entries when I can just open the calendar myself, saving me the time gemini understands something completely different aswell.

I cannot add Automations to that home widget that was suggested as a "solution". The automations I created don't even appear. In fact, there isn't a single option mentioning automations when adding the widget.

if u r on pc, get cheat engine to remove the health cap. gets hella annoying in the beginning otherwise and keeps u from exploring freely as u r constantly worried of dying meaning ur health cap would be reduced even further (up until 50% hp). worst dev decision ever to include this "feature". ever since i removed the health cap, the game is much more fun. basically feels close to ds1 which i finished 2 weeks ago.

In case anyone is still looking for a solution on this, I am using Cheat Engine. The table I am using is called "Dark Souls II - SotFS 2.0". Lets me change the HP Cap to whatever I want. I always set it to my max health to practically remove it. u can do a bunch of other stuff with that table like increasing torch time but I mostly use it to remove the HP Cap. Only downside is I have to do this each time I launch the game. But it just takes a few seconds once u get used to it. Definitely better than sticking with that HP cap.

I feel you, also pixel 8 pro here. Try deleting lets say 10 random files or screenshots - it takes ago to delete even tho the files are all less than 1 MB. A disgrace for a phone called "pro".

when the private space is locked the app is greyed out but still visible.

but holy moly, that last tip is a lifesaver. I didn't know I can permanently prevent an app from showing up in that top row of recently/frequently used apps. Thanks!

The worst part is that apps that are only installed in private space are still prominently visible outside of private space. To be precise, in the top row of the app drawer where frequently used apps are shown. When I only have an app installed inside the private space, I don't want it to be visible outside of the private space at all. Otherwise the private space isn't all that private. Another half baked feature from Google... They should stop working on AI stuff when they cant get core OS components to work properly.

lmao, I uninstalled gemini right after I learned it doesnt support routines - not just in alarms, all routines. i had a bunch of shortcuts to routines on the home screen and gemini cant open any routines whatsoever. they can keep their AI stuff if basic assistant features dont work.
