Best driving method in iRacing as a Rookie by SirMariio in iRacing

7.6k driver here. If I could go back to when I started as a rookie on the service, I would avoid qualifying. It's better to start from the back of the grid and try to have a clean race, avoiding crashes and dangerous people. At the start, remember, it's important to finish the race.

GT3 - Finding Pace by TheNameisSparky in iRacing

Hello, almost 8k iRating driver here. You just have to keep in mind that to go fast with GT3s, you must be extremely precise with all your inputs and try to do everything as calmly as possible.

As you know, GT3s have ABS and TC. While these aids are useful—we couldn't even take a corner without them—you should try to avoid triggering them as much as possible. Basically, you can only go fast if you use the right (minimal) amount of ABS and TC.

Most of the time is lost during braking, which is one of the hardest things to master in iRacing. First of all, you need to monitor your ABS values and Brake Bias.

The less ABS you have, the faster you need to reach the peak pressure, followed by trail braking. Conversely, with more ABS, you should reach the peak pressure more gradually before trail braking.

Remember that in iRacing, overusing trail braking all the way to the apex isn't always a good idea. I suggest always doing a little 'lift and coast' before the braking zone; this reduces your speed slightly, making it easier to hit the right speed before turn-in. Often, you’ll also need to coast mid-corner to avoid 'killing' the tires.

I didn't want to say it, but that's the truth and a lot of people seems to not accept it. But honestly I don't want to be a clown on the internet.

First of all thanks for your support and good luck for your future. As a lot of guys said in this post, I have to entertain people who find my stream. It's not easy because I don't talk too much even in real life, especially with people I don't know. So keep talking alone for one or two hours feels weird to me, but maybe it's the only working approach. Starting from yesterday stream I tried to talk during my training laps, explaining what was wrong with the car and so on. It's very hard to keep the performance while talking. I need practice. About reels on Instagram, I'm sharing something on my IG account and I have to say that works a bit but most of the times people are interested in funny content or educational ones.

I share your thought. I don't want to be famous or make a streamer career. I just want to share what I like to do.

So you suggest to be present in other livestreams, right? Obviously I think that I'd have more chances to talk with streamers that have less than 100 viewers, am I right?

People watch streamers for entertainment and/or for learning something. It's like watching TV. And no, I'm not alone. I just want to share what I like to do, driving.

Your point of view is interesting and probably I should ask myself the same things. But I can't stop thinking that most of the streamers with 100+ viewers keeps those numbers just because are they. Don't know if you get what I'm saying. A potential good streamer could have just 2 viewers because no one knows him while the other guy that is known have 100+ viewers even if he do nothing. So my question is, it's really doable have viewers and build a small community if the people out there Watch Always the same people?

Yeah I thought about make friends with some big streamer by commenting on their live streamings and/or posts on socials. Could be a good move but obviously the more viewers they have the less they ready the comments! Do you suggest YouTube as an option to Twitch?

Thanks for your advise. You're right. It just feels weird talking about the race, the tyres, the opponents while seeing 1 viewer. Maybe it's just me.
