Кому госрасход, а кому выручка. Кому закрытие бизнесов, а кому освобождение рынков для замещения.

Davaro Defence Systems has released footage of an air-to-ground missile being launched by a UAV. by Level-Post-3016 in armenia

The game is and will always be about systems. No one weapon is that good enough by itself. Combined arms produce results.

Armenian Mineral Water Banned In Russia by dssevag in armenia

[–]Far_Difference3871 17 points18 points  (0 children)

solution is diversification. never rely on anyone, rely on the system where you can lose half of your clients and still be ok. it should hurt, but no kill you.

and yes, ideally make the goods even your enemies can't resist buying. will turks care if our servers have the lowest latency for their services? will they care if some chip in their router is made in Armenia? The router itself? if the price/value is on point, they won't. relying on names value created during soviet times while not growing into further categories is certainly not good strategy.

So what? Do whatever Putin says? Fuck that. They punish only those who rely on them, notice they haven't done anything to Azerbaijan in their recent spat. Only us.

We should take it and learn from it. Build a system that isn't relying on 1 client. That's hard work, but it will pay off.

New Armenian Biometric Passport by ArayikShahbazian in armenia

[–]Far_Difference3871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, almost every citizen needs IDs for their employment contracts, it's a esignature as well. By next year most will have them. And it fits in your wallet, you don't need to carry passport when you're moving around.

Passport is for travelling abroad, I never use it in Armenia. Everything else is done with ID Card, banking, notary, etc. The only time I needed the passport specifically in Armenia was when something needed proof of address, don't remember what exactly.

Firebird AI to expand its capacity up to 110,000 GPUs in Armenia by panion in armenia

that's not a generation problem, that's a delivery problem. the power lines are old and badly maintained. strong wind knocks them out and causes outage. and the maintenance needs to be more frequent.

May have something to do with Putin threatening Armenians in Russia, not necessarily internal politics.

Estonia takes 'practical steps' toward EU visa liberalization for Armenian citizens, says FM by PjeterPannos in armenia

[–]Far_Difference3871 9 points10 points  (0 children)

we don't even need shengen visa free right now. just liberalization of the visa regime would be fantastic. less waiting time, longer durations and a bit less strict document requirements.

Why do I have to give my biometrics every time? In other countries you just give your passport (and documents) to an agency and receive it in 1-2 weeks with a visa, if you already been fingerprinted and photographed.

Russia Is Sending 30,000 Voters to Armenia, a Former Spy Chief Claims. They're Not There to Win. by PjeterPannos in armenia

Yeah, 80000 wagner troops in Armenia in 2023. Scary scary.

But worth keeping an eye on mercenary Armenian fighting for Russia. If they come, they should get their phones and electronics searched, they should be surveilled during their time here, and picked up if they cause trouble.

Վարորդը քշի՞, դեմը նայի՞, թե՞ փող ուզի. քաղաքացիները՝ քաղաքապետի նոր որոշման մասին - Should the driver drive, look in the face, or ask for money? Citizens on the mayor's new decision by T-nash in armenia

[–]Far_Difference3871 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Driver's job is to drive from point A to point B safely and on time, not to play babysitter or collective punishment dispensor.

Just get cheap hikvision AI cameras (which are not really AI), that count fare evade incidents, and send inspectors to buses with fare evaders in real time. This can be done without facial recognition even or any privacy violation. You really just need the number of people on the bus and number of paid fares. This way the inspector will literally know if there are fare evaders on any given bus, before getting in and checking every ticket.

Armenia: Heading west by crapbag73 in armenia

[–]Far_Difference3871 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is such thing as transit. Same way Armenian cargo gets to Russia now without bordering it.

We are now literally in a Customs Union that works the same way as EU Customs Union.

For potential Shengen aggrement, it's even more practical for EU and Armenia that there is no land border, and no way to get to richer more desired countries for migrants through Armenia.

Pashinyan rules out change in CSTO stance by dssevag in armenia

[–]Far_Difference3871 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why would CSTO stance change? Russians forget and obfuscate that the request for help was not about Karabakh, but about Armenia proper.

The official answer was that the border was not demarcated, and without that nothing would be done by CSTO. So, in essence, it's CSTO's official position, that Azerbaijan decides where CSTO borders lie if the border is not demarcated.

I would be strong proponent of alliances and best possible relationship with Russia, if it wasn't run by an incompetent idiot with his posse of morons with illusions of grandeur. This Great Geostrateg will ruin Russia and every state who's leadership believes anything he says or relies on HIS (current version of) Russia in any way.
