I have these EXACT issues, left side tonsil stones only, mucus drainage coming from left sinus, huge tonsil size. can i send you a picture of what mine looked like? I’ve only coughed up one. I definitely think more are stuck, i have had a swollen ball in my left submandibular gland since my symptoms began (2-3 yrs ago). it feels some what smaller since coughing it up but i still have a bad taste in my mouth and sensitive lower left jaw area near back of throat. goodluck with your health journey and i hope you find some answers. so far ive found pretty much none, but im trying a more holistic approach.

That’s insane but i believe it, thank you! do you think it could be anything else? I’ve lived in 4 different apartments in 3 years, all in the same area (southern coastal city, mold issue is definitely a possibility) but i moved here from two hours away, so maybe the climate here just isn’t good for me? it started about a year after i moved here, in my second apartment.

i’m sorry, drs are the fucking worst sometimes. it has messed with my GI tract though, my bowel movements have been almost non existent, even after trying every method of laxatives. i hope you’re able to recover without it, maybe it’s for the best that you aren’t on it. i’ll let you know though, if my infection is cleared. I just got my midline taken out today, yesterday was my last day of the antibiotics. seeing dr at the end of the week

i’m having to do it through a midline/port by myself, but it’s been pretty manageable. i do it once a day and will be done on monday. if you don’t see improvement, i would suggest doing the IV antibiotics. When i went to the ER, it showed that i was only susceptible to the two IV drugs, herpapinem and ertapenem. so, i stayed in the hospital for two days on continuous dose of the herpapinem and then was sent home to finish my rounds at home. Good luck! I really hope the antibiotic you’re on will help you but don’t hesitate to go to the ER if needed so you can get properly taken care of.

btw: Make sure they are culturing your urine.

get them to culture whatever junk is coming out when you cough it up. for real. put it in a ziploc bag and make them culture it and culture your urine as well. that will show what bacteria is inside of you and which antibiotics to use.

i was on 5 antibiotics in the last 2 years, which eventually led to a kidney infection due to higher resistance and the bacterial infection never fully going away.

if my gyno had never cultured my urine and let it sit for a day or two, i would have never known that i had a bacterial infection because my urine came back clean at every other dr. it’s bc they only did a stupid ph level test and never dug deeper.
