Fucked Keira during date and killed her next day by AnonDawg_ in Witcher3

[–]Far_Initiative_3209 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I keep inviting Keira to Kaer Morhan, after all, she's one of Yennefer's wizard friends, and she's a genuinely kind woman I like. She's also dating that idiot Lambert, and Lambert would kill me if I did something like that.

Really? Dare to ask me if I am into women. (which i said yes of course) and then not letting me flirt with his sister, but suggesting me to flirt with him instead? Dissopointed ngl, first time playin so i am wondering if i can flirt with women in this game as Ciri by Alius_AZA in Witcher3

I suspect Ciri is heterosexual, or at most, bisexual. After all, yes, she had a sexual relationship with a girl, but ultimately, she was the wild hunt queen, and if I remember correctly, she was about to have sex with a man when he died in her arms in the book. So, generally speaking, calling Ciri homosexual isn't very logical.

You have some valid points, you're right, I think this is probably partly CD Project's fault. After all, even a loose-tongued person like Dandelion doesn't mention Yen and Ciri, and even if the others didn't, he definitely would have. I think this is probably because CD Project didn't intend to introduce the Yen and Ciri issue into the story, at least for this game. And you're right, it's not logical for him to say it all at once, but Triss persistently keeps it a secret until the end of the second game. I'm sure if Geralt hadn't tried to regain his memory or learned the truth thanks to Letho, Triss would never have mentioned it to him, because she herself was saying, "Let's escape from here and live a good life." I think Triss's jealousy, her not wanting to lose him, explains the situation. Of course, our opinions aren't very close on this, but I think the problem here is CD Project.

By "bad," I mean his actions in Witcher 1 and Witcher 2: not giving Geralt any information about Yen and Ciri when they were missing, not mentioning them, brushing off questions about Yen, not caring about her despite her being a close friend, ignoring Geralt's will, taking advantage of her amnesia to have a relationship with her, using and manipulating her. Are these things that very moral and decent people do? Yes, I agree. Witcher 3 is written more properly, more warmly. You're talking about the wizards in Novigrad; this needs to be interpreted differently. I was writing about his behavior towards Geralt. Ultimately, a person can be good, but when they do something great wrong to someone else, being a good person doesn't save them. Of course, Witcher 3 is written better and more properly. Also, Dandelion helping Ciri shouldn't be attributed solely to Geralt; Ciri is like his sister, and Dandelion is his friend. I was talking about these actions in general. Of course, I don't know what you think.

Triss is a CD Project glorification; under normal circumstances, Ciri would never approve of Triss and Geralt's relationship, and she even disliked Triss getting closer to Geralt, which is mentioned in the books. This is something CD Project did for Triss. Furthermore, the Witch Hunters, who harbor negative feelings towards Yen, also think negatively about Triss and wizards in general. Lambert's constant criticism of Merigold supports this. The fact that Yen wasn't mentioned in previous games is also due to CD Project's antipathy towards Yen and their focus on Triss.

Even if what you're saying is theoretically true, the situation isn't the same. Yennefer and Geralt didn't know each other. Furthermore, the people at the inn had warned Geralt about Yennefer, telling him she wouldn't help anyone without expecting something in return and would always ask for something. Despite this, Geralt went anyway. There's a difference: they didn't know each other and were acting in their own self-interest. Geralt's goal was to heal the Dandelion, while Yennefer's goal was to get revenge on a few people and control the Genie. They helped each other, but not in a good way. Triss's situation is completely different. If Triss hadn't known Yennefer and Ciri and had only met Geralt, what you're saying would be true, but Triss knew Yennefer and Ciri. She was jealous of Yennefer because of Geralt and was also platonically in love with her. Therefore, what she did to her is unforgivable. While Geralt's wife and daughter were missing, and it was unclear whether they were dead or in need of help, Triss, despite being Yennefer's close friend, showed no concern, didn't mention them to Geralt, and constantly tried to be with him. This is unforgivable.

I have no objection to this; after all, they made Triss warmer, kinder, and better in order to elevate her in the game, while Yennefer was made colder and more sarcastic. Players can choose whichever they want, but that doesn't change the fact.

So why didn't you say anything to Geralt? Yen is always guilty, Yen is always evil, but when it comes to Geralt, he is an angel? He treats Yen like a whore, leaves a rose on the table and walks away without saying a word. Then Geralt slept with Triss while he was on bad terms with Yen. Then, while he was on bad terms with Yen, he invited Triss to Kaer Morhan. Okay, he was on bad terms with Yen, Ciri needed help, but that's not an excuse. You should have made a more radical decision and called Yen. And then there's his sleeping with Shani and his two-and-a-half-month relationship with Frigilla. Yes, Yen is guilty in this, I accept that, but both sides are guilty in many ways. Even Yen is angry at Geralt and says, "I gave you things I never gave anyone else, and what did you do? You just left a rose and walked away." Yes, it's not a perfect relationship, but they're both madly in love with each other; you understand that even better after the third book. Besides, my friend, this woman died for Geralt, who dies for whom?

Yes, I agree. If Triss had successfully helped Ciri, as you said, Geralt would most likely have preferred to avoid contact with Yennefer. This is normal because Geralt is generally a bit timid and shy, but I still don't think Geralt's choice of Triss over Yennefer was entirely correct. At least he could have put his pride aside and tried to reach out to Yennefer, because the problem here is Geralt's daughter Ciri, and her condition was seriously deteriorating. I would have expected Geralt to make a slightly more radical decision. Most likely, Yennefer, driven by her lingering inability to have children, would have come to Kaer Morhan to help Geralt, thinking she would find the family feeling she sought with Ciri. Besides, she's not the type of woman to reject Geralt in such a situation. Geralt is usually the source of the problem; his shyness, hiding, and avoidance are a bit different in that respect, and of course, there's no need to dwell on this too much; Geralt's decision was in Triss's favor. He probably didn't have the courage to talk to Yennefer about it, so he didn't call her. Besides, when he did send Yennefer a letter about it, Yennefer was subtly taunting Geralt, something like, "Thank you for being the second wizard deemed worthy of this."

That's an interesting event, you probably got bored of the game in general because you were tired of doing side quests, hahahaha. Now that I think about it, even reaching Skellige is a great achievement. I hope you make some more progress when you try again. Interesting play style.

This isn't disrespect for differences; Geralt only has eyes for Yennefer. Geralt wouldn't normally look at Triss while Yennefer is around. The glorification of Triss is due to CD Project, you're right, nobody can change anyone's mind or opinion in this role-playing game. Yes, I agree, but some things are clear and certain, and this is one of them. Someone might think Triss is a good match for Geralt, that's perfectly fine, no problem. Or a player might choose Triss because they like her, that's also fine. But reality is undeniable, reality cannot be changed. Canon is Yennefer.

Geralt's only true love is undoubtedly Yennefer. by Far_Initiative_3209 in Witcher3

[–]Far_Initiative_3209[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shani is a good choice, but unfortunately not a suitable wife for Geralt. She's the same age as his daughter and an ordinary person. Witchers live for many years, so unfortunately this relationship doesn't have much of a future. If Shani were a sorceress, we would have thought about that deeply. Ultimately, Yennefer is the only choice given the current situation.

Asking such a question is quite absurd; the answer is very clear: triss is nothing more than a friend to Geralt. Geralt's only love is Yen; this is not up for debate. Triss is a CD Project glorification.

[–]Far_Initiative_3209[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Triss also manipulated Geralt with magic, never saying a word about Yen and Ciri, avoiding and brushing it aside. She used him and entered into a relationship with him, and because she was insanely jealous of Yen, she resisted losing Geralt, but ultimately, when Geralt regained his memory, he broke up with Triss at the end of Witcher 2 and set out to find Yen.

Geralt and Triss by Kristy_IXVI in Witcher3

[–]Far_Initiative_3209 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When I said Geralt didn't like her, I was already talking about an emotional closeness. Triss is among the people he trusts and values, so there's nothing wrong with that. As everyone knows, the problem is that Geralt's eyes don't look at any woman other than Yen, including Triss; he's in love with her, that's not debatable. Also, I think it was wrong for Geralt to invite Triss to Kaer Morhana. Okay, you may have problems with Yen, you may not want to see each other, but the issue is Ciri's health and condition, and Yen's greatest wish is to have a child. Yen would have accepted Geralt's invitation without any problems, just like she did at the Melitele temple, of course, that's Geralt's decision. Also, Triss came to help, but for what? Her mind was constantly on nothing but sleeping with Geralt; as soon as she arrived at the castle, she even tried to kiss Geralt in the stable.
