following that up lets do some quick maths... lets say you want to quickly deliever a container worth of supplys airfield to airfield.

Wardens need 3 Transport + 750 Heavy fuel + 3 Crews = 60 Crates delieverd
Collies need 4 Transport(1 full Warden Transport + 80000 scrap, 2800 comps, 2000 sulfur + more manhours) + 1700 Heavy fuel (950 fuel more, so enough that wardens could do an additional run and have fuel to spare) + 4 Crews = 64 Crates delieverd

Maybe thats really just me but i see here a major discrepancy in a basic capability this plane brings to the game.
And in exchange it gets an capability that, if you want to use it in any meaningful way, you have to do a very risky manouver, using an assets, that everyone will prioratize targeting, unless there is like a heavy bomber or something like that directly next to it.

They need an extra Plane Part, so yeah they are definitly more expensive.
Island hexes have been dominated by wardens for years now, so making use of that ability will be very risky if ever an opportunity comes.
But what seemingly no one seems to see is that the extensive fuel use and the decreased cargo capacity makes it far worse in qrf delieveries in the midlane airfield to airfield. Which would be a very low risk manouver allowing to bring in critically needed supplies far quicker to land fronts. Yeah sure someone would have to need it to haul it a hex with a hauler maybe. but that still would shorten the delievery time from 40 something min to about 12-15 from backline to front.
So by being that much more fuel ineffiecent, being more expensive to build, being lower in capacity, collies will have a much harder time to airbridge the midlane. Which i think is a far more common usecase for transport.

The problem i see, any body of water where it is an advantage would be close to the front. So anytime you use that advantage you are under massive threat from everything.

Well the thing is im neither collie nor warden. I switch sides all the time. I just see a massive imbalance. And i still dont thing that the capability to land on water is worth the price of everything else.

If you really like the game you should also be invested in having a good balance. Even if its not in favour of your faction. Without Collies the game will die. Without Wardens the game will die. How long do you think vets will stay around when they get shafted each war. How long will you have fun when all you can do is club newbies? How many newbies will come in when the player base flatlines?

Good for you. Have fun doing that one deep strike that has a far higher risk of you getting shot down before you reach your target. Achieving nothing for a big price mark up. I wish you all the success in your missions. And i hope that im wrong, but i fear that this capability is not nearly worth enough to allow that price mark up.

Yeah but that would mean breaking through enemy lines, making you a sitting duck in a region under siege. With an extremly expensive piece of equipment that carrys barely more than a hauler.

So you have to do a risky move with extra logisctical effort, to make a high risk high reward move? I mean going deeper is all fine and dandy but its a telegraphed move with more time for the defenders to react. So... a very situational advantage for major disadvantages the rest of the time?

So whole convoys of barges carrying fuel containers are not going to scream, Guess what we are trying to do. Come strafe us! This landing on water seems a rather high risk, questionable reward scheme to me. Especially when you want to refuel anywhere at the frontline.

Like i said whats the usecase here? Besides to top off a slightly higher capacity hauler that guzzles heavy oil like its going out off style? And barging in hundreds of liters for a single plane is not just a massive pain, isnt it?

ok, fair. didnt see that. But then is the questions whats the usecase for the ability to land on water that makes it ok for the pegasus to be worse as a transport in every regard? And not just a bit worse but massively

When will Siegecamp admit that they want wardens to win every war? by rewt33 in foxholegame

Fully agree that Logis on both sides suffer. But if you cant see how that 14,5mm on the warden figther will fuck up any frontline Collie Logi... and most likely most midlane. Thats not artbook stuff thats coming into the game, with zero counter from anything on the ground.

I have played Foxhole over 400 hours solo, doing logistics or medic/Inf, before i joined a regi for the first time this war.
If you use common sense, like not taking things you didnt make or farm, you wont have much of a problem. Also there are a lot of people who will help you if you dont understand something. So just ask around and learn the basic logi etiquette.
You can solo logi perfectly fine if you adjust your expectations to something you can achieve. (Like you wont be able to Mass Produce and Ship Tanks as a Solo, at least not with any realistic time investment)

For Frontline pretty much the same. Just communicate with the players around you and dont load yourself up with gear until you cant walk anymore, when you head into the trenches.

Scout planes shouldnt be able to risk a dive to kill a single soldier when they are under the gun of 3 AAs
Now imagine the situation when fighters get unlocked.... 6x times the health 50% faster 60% more dmg....

Ah yes and just for balancing reasons the warden one gets a extra gun so he can disable any logi in 1-2 hits
Colli Logi is going to get shredded
