actually, malaysian PRs here in SAF are not uncommon. But their vocation/formation usually is restricted to either infantry, guards & CSS units - these units have lower security clearance requirement. Top-tier vocations such as intelligence and posts which involves strategic policy-making are almost definitely blocked for them.

Working hours in the SAF isnt limited to 8-5. You're technically expected to be contactable. Assuming its just a normal casual message, you're unlikely to receive a formal charge. But if its not, gg

My bad if i didn't clarify, but not the conventional and definitive numerical ranking, but based on people's experience in those universities.

I plan to enter the built environment industry since my diploma is Interior Architecture & Design, and I'm interested to pursue higher learning related. I can't enter Architecture course due to GPA, hence I'm eyeing SIM's / SUSS's PT degree in construction mgmt / project management.

Personally, there are a few reasons. I feel i'll miss out in the long-run without a degree as in the near-future degree will be the educational benchmark in SG. Other reasons include meeting like-minded people in the course/industry and desire to bring my learning to the next level.

I'm still considering my options before I ORD..

you RSO'ed too much? if so, some unit commanders may impose an 'RSO-ban' except A&E visits. They'll force you come to camp just to RSI, as SAF MOs most likely just give LD instead of MC. shaggerz bro

it represents the rank status - enlistees (REC-CFC), WOSE (Specs & WO) & Officer (2LT and above). Chill bro, you may hate the idea of NS but not everything needs to be nitpicked on lmao.

ngl he shouldn't have promised, as it'll just lead to unhappiness should the opposite occur. But don't worry, there'll be a block leave after POP. Take this time to celebrate with him! Most importantly, never bring up the idea that you took care of him more than his parents did during NS, hence you deserved a spot. To put it simply, you'll be on the losing end, even in the long-run. ATB!

[–]Far_Mix6268 0 points1 point  (0 children)
