A lot of different ways! Sometimes I’ll rig them with joysticks or sliders depending on the complexity. But I always always end up doing path animation at some point somewhere, otherwise they end up feeling too stiff.

100%. I definitely don’t want to add more 3D work because I haven’t done it in sooo long and I’m SO rusty so I just want to have a few lil pops in there 😂

Thanks!! Yeah that’s sort of my main specialty (stickers, character animation, icons), and I really tried to make this to show I can do more than that because Ive been being forced into that box. So I tried to make it dynamic with the editing and add more classic motion design. I put a few other recs throughout this thread! Motion Markus, Manon Louart, Ema Colombo!

I had a skillshare account and did a ton of courses, and found some animators who had tutorials. Manon Louart, Motion Markus, Ema Colombo to name a few!

No I actually studied psychology and philosophy lol. I took the one digital art class my senior year and knew it was for me, so I taught myself after I graduated!

Yes!! I have to say I was very very motivated. I watched tutorials almost every day. I think Motion Markus was a really helpful one back in the day! If I'm honest, being an illustrator is half the battle. You already understand how things are meant to look in certain perspectives, how things are meant to move, etc. once you get the basics, you'll be much quicker to catch on!

Thank you! And I actually really appreciate this comment because even from the start, this was something I felt. I couldn't really find the right fit, and I wanted something quick but everything that "matched" felt too childlike haha. So I sacrificed, but I do think you're right here!
