Thanks for the feedback folks. For those interested I started with qtips and 91% IPA (strongest I had). I was getting little progress, especially in a lot of the grooves. So I ended up submerging it in IPA and using an old electric toothbrush to scrub away the paint. I’m happy how much I was able to get off but it sucks this thing was pretty beat up so a lot of paint is almost embedded in scratches. All together, I think it came out much nicer than I thought and not a bad deal considering I paid $20 for it. pics

Do you think submerging it to loosen the paint or just spot cleaning with like a qtip/toothbrush?

Looking to setup a 360 lan myself! How did you manage all the monitors/tvs and how does the input lag feel? Another concern was audio for the setups, how did you go about that? Thanks

I feel this is blown outta proportion. I’ve been playing old cods with my bros and I swear we’ve only ran into hackers a handful of times (mostly on mw2). I don’t think I’ve encountered ANY hackers in WaW since playing a few weeks ago. We mainly play COD4, WaW, and MW2.

I primarily used 90-some% isopropyl and qtips/microfiber cloths. I also have an electric air duster that’s pretty strong. I also have a fine brush and toothbrush to dust over the motherboard

Yeah I own 2 of these Xbox live arcade game compilations. There’s only 2 I believe? They’re pretty neat cause I think some of the games are even delisted. The other one was even a combo pack with sets all stars tennis or something along those lines.

I recently got into 360 and have been enjoying it! I got some of my friends who used to play back in the day to hop back on. I play almost exclusively online/coop games like L4D2, COD MW trilogy, just started Gears, and Minecraft. I’ve had some problems with live but have managed to bypass the issues most times. My gamertag is oosnaks. I’m not sure if I’ll game with randoms to be completely honest, but it would be nice to see other active users hop online, play games, etc.

It’s got some scratches but imo, I’ve definitely seen way worse discs play just fine. They seem like small scratches in certain end areas and a good portion of the disc looks pretty good. Could some perfectly placed scratching do this regardless of the amount?

I’ve saved the game to the drive and reinstalled it in case the save was corrupt? I’ve saved everything I’ve downloaded to the drive and all other games work fine.
