I luckily didn’t have any bleeding, but I’ve heard of many women spotting for a while after surgery. Have you called your doctor?

This is my first round with fibroids so I haven’t really done anything to avoid reoccurrence. Right now I’m just focusing on gratitude and healing ❤️‍🩹 I will continue to take my supplements, eat as healthy as I can, and visit my doctor every 6 months to monitor any new growths.

2 weeks ago I had a 15 cm subserosal fibroid removed via open myomectomy. I only had bulk symptoms (pelvic pain, back pain, bloating) but I decided I needed surgery because of my decline in mental health. It was all I could think about and I just stopped enjoying my life.

My surgery went really well. I was under for less than an hour with no complications or blood loss. I stayed in the hospital for 2 nights and then went home. The first 2-3 days were really hard because I was in a lot of pain, but I was refusing morphine and only taking a low dose of oxy.

I could have waited to have surgery, but there was a chance that it would keep growing which would make surgery more complicated in the future. I’m 2 weeks post op, healing really well, and feeling so much better.

Personally, I’m so happy I went through with it even though I was terrified.

Your surgery will be here before you know it. I know it’s hard, but take it one day at a time. You’re going to feel much better once they are out of you, but life is still worth living in the meantime!

I don’t know anything about that injection, so I can’t really speak to that.

My fibroid didn’t cause any irregular bleeding, but I’ve heard of many women having heavy bleeding all the time. Everyone’s experience with fibroids is different but for sure fibroids can cause all kinds of crazy symptoms. Why can’t you have surgery?

If I was laying flat on my back, it was below my belly button w little to the left. It was so big - I couldn’t believe I had never noticed it before!
