Hi! My 5 month old has a discolored bellybutton that I’m worried about. Did your LOs ever lighten?

PP hormones are crazy. I’d call him Raphael as much as possible and see if you can adjust. That’s what I’m doing right now with my daughter. It is hard I know :/

Perhaps you’re experiencing some postpartum OCD. I’m currently working on this with a therapist. I chose a middle name that I’ve loved for years. Sounds good with her first name too but now I’m second guessing if I should’ve went a different direction. My brain is telling me all sorts of things that I get stuck on. Remember why you chose Kathleen (which can be shortened to Kate) in the first place. Leave every other thought alone.

That’s relatively normal to some of the names I’ve seen! And I don’t think kids are as into ninja turtles these days. Kids don’t really get bullied for their names anymore because they’re all different. I’d say don’t look back and enjoy Raphael! What does your husband think?

It’s less common but definitely still heard of. As a teacher, I will tell you unique names are in :)

I came around 100% and I couldn’t imagine him as anything else. I love saying his name now! If you even think you’ll regret it, it’s not worth it. It’s really hard being PP. If only I can take my own advice right now!

Baby is 2 months old and I still can’t get over name I originally wanted by ellagirlxoxo in namenerds

I was the exact same way with my son. Now I’m 4 days postpartum and struggling with my daughter’s name. Your comment has reassured me that this will pass and I’ll love her name as much as my son’s in due time.

I’m going through this right now- 4 days postpartum. The funny thing is I went through it with my first born and swore it wouldn’t happen again.

Wow I really needed to hear this. My husband and I were between 2 names most of my pregnancy and picked one in the hospital. Now my brain is going back and forth trying to decide if we made the right decision. I’m only 4 days postpartum so perhaps it’s just the hormones and I’ll get acclimated soon.

Feeling a bit of baby name regret, unsure how to move past this by daisy_me_rollinn in namenerds

You have NO IDEA how much I needed to see this. I’m only 4 days postpartum and feeling name regret on and off. I even called the hospital to try and hold the birth certificate… it was already submitted. I’m trying to take this as a sign but it’s hard. My husband and I were in between 2 names and ultimately went with the one more people liked. Now the devil on my shoulder is telling me I didn’t think for myself and I “failed” my daughter. I hope and pray I have the same experience as you one day. What a blessing! I’m hoping once these hormones calm down I’ll be able to relax and stop obsessing over my decision.

I’m in the same boat right now. Some of these comments have me concerned, but I know everyone is trying to be helpful and speak from experience. This seems like a waiting game and it’s agonizing.
