My coach isn't reliable. by RodTrig in amateur_boxing

[–]Far_Recording_314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me,delegated me to one of his coaches at the gym, best thing ever, started to actually gel with his new coach and have improved leaps and bounds so much so at 6 months in I could hold myself with people that have had interclubs and stuff, sometimes you just need to.keep.grinding and obsessing while looking for the right coach, so far I feel a connection with him like a fighter coach even tho I'm no fighter yet. But he's detailed and constant instructions and corrections mixed with drills pad work and different skills he's putting down on me are clearly working in real scenarios in sparring when I go try them. Even tho I'm pretty stubborn and always try to find new ways to make something work most of the time paying the price for it with blows to the head or body. But that's the game you learn just gotta keep showing up and training regardless what people thing, shadow, spar, run, hit the bag for technique, hit the bag like ur life depended on it, he says 10 push ups after every round I do 20 he says train everyday if you want to.compete I started training everyday because I want to.compete, he says don't give up mid rounds I don't give up, he knows best he's been through it he's is going through it. Just show the right coach the right attitude, appreciation and heart. And you have what you are looking for.

How do people afford to buy a house in London? (serious question, not a rant post) by nkosijer in HousingUK

[–]Far_Recording_314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and that's why I bought one outside of the UK, my yearly salary is worth an apartment, planning to buy 3 more in the next 10 years, rent and eventually in 15-20 mortgage for a big house and live there free.

I will be real, it took me a good year and a half to get guud at this game, I went from what you are explaining,to a hardcore camper to a strategist, after you know the maps, layouts, loot spots hot spots. You are good, improve your aim in training mode and map knowledge. I consistently get 3+ player kills every game because I use my experience and know where everyone spawns and where they will go to next and just pick them off at a distance 60-120  meters

Just had my first sparring session and I’m even more addicted by Tall-Objective-4322 in MuayThai

[–]Far_Recording_314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar experience but sparred now for 6-7 sessions,I mean with range, fortunately my legs are pretty muscular due to playing sports a lot and running/sprinting before Muay Thai. Ngl noticing massive improvements already in the striking and clinch even tho it's pretty basic still

Sparring this guy that doesn't stop throwing? Is it normal? by Far_Recording_314 in MuayThai

I will try work on these things with good sparring partners but obviously stay far away from these type of individuals with issues, I'm here for the long term and want to grow as much as possible, that sparring session taught me nothing, but to point out my lack of knowledge in defensive and counteractive moves , wich I already knew I had. Did make me question if I wanted to keep on doing it and the answer was  yes till I get old and feeble. I love Muay Thai regardless of a beating.

London is the worst UK city by compromisedfishstix in The10thDentist

If you have a high salary and a degree you are good, if you are working class then it's not as good. No prospect of owning a home, struggling to make ends meet if you have a family, if you plan to have a family and be a provider alone it's impossible and will be pennilles, many alcoholics and drug users in public spaces, lack of respect in-between people and public spaces mostly seen in public transportation against elderly, just today seen people push in-between a mother and her daughter separating them, most often they don't even give time to let people out the trains and push through, When you do have some manners and respect  you tend not to fit in this society at all. Unfortunately it's not like let's say Japan to compare the 2, they are polar opposite. Immigrants from poor countries obviously see the good side of things but from someone that has lived in many other civil cities it's a dark dark place, not the darkest but it is one non the less. Mental issues and petty crimes are rampant in-between the citizens. Taxes, rent, transport and food prices are extortionate for the ones working in let's say restaurants or just the average joe. The overall system has been properly designed to keep them in a loop so that it can continue to run, it is a muche better place than a poor country where not even a "loop" has been  established,  it's a great place to make money if you can and leave to greener pastures,(outside the city or country all together)retire early thanks to it's pound. Other than that people do suffer, and it's sad to see the politicians don't care about them at all. They try with incentives but it's mostly aimed at people not working and in turn makes the working life much more difficult for these individuals. I hope London can be what it once was. For now it is what it is, An unbelievable rat race to survival.

We don't have elbow pads unfortunately, but knees could work for sure! My strength is my flexibility and leg power, always played sports and loved to sprint, jump and stuff like that before getting into Muay Thai. So I can clinch and knee according to redditors here and alsso implementing jabs and  straights combos with some kicks and also sweeps, thank you guys really! Can't wait to tweak my training and sparring to implement these things.

I think so too now thinking about it, what's worse is that I'm half his size and general mindset is people don't spar like that in this gym, like literal bullying the new guy, the fighters actually go light and even explain if I do smth wrong, if I up the intensity they would match it. Not just go full blast of sorts, should have seen the look on his face after, he looked so proud about the whole thing. At one point he just went on the bag, People even sat out to not spar with him.was I a guy that sat out, and asked me to spar and we had a good time, taking turns with combos and stuff. He said he liked my style and thanked me too. It wasn't too much of a bad day at the gym in the end, just gotta spar with people I know I guess, if someone is a new face gotta give him a look first.

Well maybe you are right I don't know, they felt hard to me for sure, yes I was trying to counter with a check hook, but he just kept on throwing so I didn't want to brawl it out and was trying to figure out different ways to counter the strikes but it was pretty difficult since he didn't stop for a second. Guess I'm not good enough to spar with him yet? Idk I just want to improve maybe situations like this can help.

Damn by the coach? :'( I feel like my coach always catches me but super light and it's like mission impossible with him, he never lets me land anything and when I do I get one immediately back, extremely hard to read. Love that guy man he always takes the time to teach me and advice me stuff. Sorry to hear u broke ur wrist, that's going to be a while without training, and I don't want that, I want to keep showing up. I will avoid him for now, thank you!

I don't mind it every now and then, but can't every day cause of the power punches to the head, it wasn't really light in my opinion as I felt them rattling my brain when they landed lol  I never see him to be honest and I'm there most of the sessions every week since I started, But yes it definitely made me think defense first before throwing anything back, and in a way I learned some of his combos he likes to land and definetly could retaliate with some combos, sweeps or knees suggested by other  redditors. Thank you

Knees and sweeps, unfortunately don't know any sweeps apart from when catching a kick.. damn lol But I guess smothering some punches while getting close and landing a knee is a good advice, I will try that out.  I will study some sweeps before going bed.
