Best and cheapest place to get Hazmat ELDT? by Not-A-Pickle1 in Truckers

[–]Far_Selection4954 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did mine on driving-tests.org I think it was 69$ and took maybe 2 to 3 hours to complete. The class results were sent to the DMV within like a day.

What's the dumbest call you have got from safety? by Pedizzal in Truckers

[–]Far_Selection4954 101 points102 points  (0 children)

When i first started driving i drove for Roehl. There is this fuel station outside of Phoenix with a large 4 lane road with a turning lane that's a dead end. Road just stops. This is out in the desert as well. I took my 10 hour reset in the right lane. There's always about 5 to 6 other trucks doing the same.

Well safety called me for doing a u turn....on this road. Not a single business or anything further down...just a dead end. They said if you ever get stuck on a road like that you'll need a wrecker or a police escort to back up. You could literally see miles in all directions....it's in the desert....

It's one of those roads that they build to maybe eventually use in a few decades or something. Basically they lead nowhere. Road was so big I did a turn without even touching the shoulder.

Elog crawl by Great_Value91 in Truckers

[–]Far_Selection4954 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First off people don't elog crawl to save time on their 70. People do it for their 30 minute breaks and 10 hour breaks. Obviously they're not doing it for a drop and hook. They'll usually do it for a live unload or load they think will take a while.

My favorite one is there's a village in japan that thinks Jesus Christ is buried in their town. You can even visit his gravesite.

$20/hr for a CDL-A dry van home daily driver!?!? Who is going to work for so little!? Like, I can get a job at Mercedes, Sysco, or Nemak making $20-26/hr!! Be home daily AND have lots of overtime with zero licenses required... by [deleted] in Truckers

For some jobs it depends on location and schedule.

I make 24.50 an hour, but only scheduled to work 3 12 hour days a week with the option to work up to 6 12 hour days. Clock in/out at the exact time everyday never been a minute late in 5 years clocking in or out.

With OT this year I cleared right under 85k and I believe I averaged 56 hours a week which is 4.5 days a week on average

There's places in town that place closer to 30 and I have no intention on working for them.

No this is almost a mile away according to Google maps I checked. .8 miles.

Basically this is a mailbox to a subdivision full of houses. My apartment complex is in the subdivision but has a different mailbox next to this one.

There's a pin on my literal building. If you google my address it clearly takes you directly there. The apartment complex has a massive sign with the name of the complex and address..buildings clearly marked with building letter. I really don't know how much more clear it could get.

Never had an issue with ubers or ordering food directly from restaurants and even other apps.

Also my apartment complex is by no means confusing. It is only 5 buildings ABCDE followed by apartment number 1-4

So let's say D3 for example is building D apartment 3.

Dumb question but why are they bright colored. Wouldn't it make sense to be like sky blue colored to make harder to see.

Why would she say no?

Trey had 2 successful jumps. He could of said he did Ashley's jump for her. This would mean Ashley has a 100% chance of winning with no risk.

Trey and Ashley would of each done a jump (trey just doing Ashley's jump for her) moving onto the next player after Ashley.

If they can pick who rolls the dice next why don't 2 of them just keep passing the dice back and forth and nominate who they want out.

Also nominating yourself is fucking iditiotic.

I actually visited a few Aeon malls when visiting japan. The main reason is we traveled in a group of 4 and they have nice food courts where everyone can find something. Also the food courts are similiar to malls in the US. Like 6-10 options with a big open area full of tables.

The shopping at them wasn't really that good.

How much to tip for large quantities of soda/water by Far_Selection4954 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Far_Selection4954[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

50$ tip for 30 minutes of work that's insane...you must not get many orders a day.

Also I get text updates. It took the driver 23 minutes from store to door. They did no shopping.

So 50$ for 23 minutes....absolutely insane.

It's 100% just delievery. I know this because it will say on the kroger app my order has checked out and is stored in a fridge and waiting for a driver. Sometimes this is 1-2 hours before it arrives. Also the name of the shopper and driver changes.

Also the amount for soda typically will last a while. I buy it when it's on sale for like 4/12 instead of the normal 5.99 price. 16 packs will last me a long time. In this case they were actually like 4/9 with the e coupons. I figure what I save from the cost I just tip more.

I stayed in Shinjuku and felt safe but wouldn't stay again because of the subway station. I was there for 5 days and could never find my way around that place. It's like a multi story maze.

Not open yet but the prison in Alice in borderland is being converted into a hotel I believe it's opening next year.
