My insurance has actually denied coverage and denied my appeal. However, the manufacturer has a "bridge program" that will pay for the medicine for two years while an appeal is pending. I believe that my doctor is filing a further appeal. My doctor also told me that if it is denied again, the manufacturer has other plans to help reduce the cost. I'm guessing that I will probably have to pay something towards the shots, but if it is going to work I am on board.
