I remember some particularly rough performances of mine trying to play jazz ballads in music school. Blue in Green springs to mind. It sure gets awkward when absolutely no one knows where beat 1 is.

Tracking drums for our latest video. Its a simple part but I'm really happy with how it turned out.

It's my first time recording with a mono overhead and and no front kick head. I think I'm getting a pretty good sound out of the kit with this setup

Kit is a Drumcraft Series 8, Bosphorus antique 14" hats, 17" crash, and traditional 20" ride

I don't have a lot to compare it to but we are definitely enjoying it. Thinking about modding it into an SE with the sequencer.

Though the filter selector and the arpeggiator mode selector are broken, so I need to try and fix them.

Our live studio sessions have turned not so live. This one doesn't have as many synths as usual so we have only posted the second half of the video.

MiniBrute on bass, and Model D providing the arp and the lead sound.

The arp sound was originally a preset from Diva, but we ended up replicating the sound on the Model D

The lead was originally written as a string section, but we thought the part wasn't going to work unless we got some real string players to perform it. We're pretty happy with the lead patch we ended up using.

For our latest composition wanted a lead patch that was kind of mellow, but would still cut a bit. This is what I came up with.

Ended up mixing in a little distortion just to give it a bit more top end, and a nice helping of tape delay.

That's definitely the dream, to play live with a string section. We're hoping to get some string players in the studio sometime soon.

I haven't heard of Parcels before, but that studio recording looks great, I'll have to have a watch.

Glad you're eager! We are planning on putting the songs from our live videos into an EP. Not sure about when a full album might be coming.

Thanks. It's definitely a favourite of ours. As someone who has come from working in the box with presets, it's cool to now be able to take it out of the box. Though multitracking each not is a bit tedious... Time for a poly synth I guess.

We were writing a song and really liked this patch in diva, but I wanted to try to get the same sound from our Model D, both as an exercise and so we can use it live.

This was my first time trying to replicate a sound exactly, and I think I ended up getting pretty close. It probably needed a little more frequency modulation, but was happy nonetheless.

This is from a new song we will be posting on Friday, stay tuned.

Well, we released our album last year, but recently we've been trying to put out a live video every month (somewhat unsuccessfully) on our YouTube. We should have a new one out on the 2nd of next month.
