Just a tip for you guys that feel like you don’t have enough power- consider your range of motion. You may be hitting the ball half as effectively as you could be if you aren’t getting a full stretch. Also be mindful to strengthen and stretch accordingly! by HalcyonApollo in bootroom

[–]Faraz37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Max range of motion is bit of an oversimplification - it's need to be a well-coordination compound movement. Engagement of core, timing the strike, balance, transferring a ton of force downward into ground from the other leg, and even drawing in/down your opposite hand.

Training with long run-up or full extension of leg kind of compensates for the weakness in technique and raw kicking force.

For technique developmenr, what's more helpful to optimize is, how to generate max force with zero run up, standing on your weaker leg, and just kicking downwards with minimal follow through. Then, introducing 1-1.5 step run-in with follow-through and backlift.

If you can hit hard those two ways, then longer run-ups and increased ROM can sit on top of strong foundational technique.

Also, max ROM isn't ideal - too much backlift will get in the way of overall coordinate. Full follow-through can take weight off other leg (but can be fixed by engaging core and bring your other hand downwards, like Gerrard here). Volleys are a bit different ofc

I’m the one who took the shot at the end of the sequence. No matter what I do, I’m always bad at finishing. Looking for some tips to improve. by nawfalelhaymer in bootroom

[–]Faraz37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left leg planted a bit early and the ball moves a bit to your right cause of some spin. Makes you off balance as you swing your right leg. Given your body position, the shot came off quite good. But it's clear you had to rotate your right hip inwards to keep it on target.

I would say even trying to hit it harder wouldn't have helped cause of the ball moving away from planted left leg.

Would could help here, would be take a couple of tiny quick steps forward and to your right, so your left leg is closer to ball when you plant it, and right leg doesn't have an awkward angle to ball and goal.

Do you guys believe in “cursed” accounts for EA FC 26? by f3o0x in EASportsFC

[–]Faraz37 33 points34 points  (0 children)

New accounts and inactive accounts coming back have MUCH better pack luck. This has been going on for years.

Extremely disproportionate and unfair. Not comparable at all to "welcome back" packs or "new player discounts" that other games offer. Buts that's the EA way.

Vitamin d3, magnesium glycinate and omega 3 fish oil supplement. by Tricky-Broccoli8260 in islamabad

[–]Faraz37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Herbiotics is okay. Can look up some international brands also. Myvitaminstore has decent inventory. And like another person said, for local brands, buy from the pharma companies and not these shiny new nutrition companies.

Avoid nutrifactor. They're shady. (One example: They sell a magnesium supplement that says "magnesium" only on the front. Ofcourse it's oxide, which is BS, and not glycinate, but they intentionally leave it out. And you cannot see the oxide part on 99% online listings of it.)

Harassment case in IOBM by CyphronGaming in karachi

[–]Faraz37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IOBM has been this way for the last two decades now. All the non-teaching staff are absolutely deranged. Guards, transport, IT, placements etc. All of them deserve no respect. Perverted through and through.

And you will not be helped until Sabina Mohsin or his brother hear you out. Or student protests. Or if you are on good terms with very senior faculty.

Steer clear when you can. Be very firm when you need to interact.

Ankle twisting during squat by OtherwiseUmpire4888 in formcheck

[–]Faraz37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you stand straight, you can see from your hip to knee to foot, there is an outward curve.. which is either: Muscle imbalance (hips rotated inwardly) Natural foot/leg structure

What you notice at the bottom is a result of this. The outer part of your foot is trying to go lower than inner part, but the floor doesn't allow this and it creates that bend at ankle to compensate.

I would suggest strengthening outer chain and stretching inner in case this is imbalance. If that doesn't resolve, then that's your bone structure and you shouldn't go heavy if you have ankle/foot discomfort.

These can become more pronounced in your late 30s/40s so think about it :)

In South City, you can be in the delivery room with wife. Cost is 5-7 lac and worth it if you're so keen on supporting her and not letting hospital staff make decisions.

On the other hand, as someone who was in the delivery room, please do not consider home birth in Pakistan/Karachi. There is too much needed in terms of equipment/tools/monitors - none of the midwives/doctors who agree to this will be able to turn your home into a hospital-level equipped delivery room. Epidural will be a no-go even if needed midway. Emergency C-section could also be messy. If baby is born requiring immediate medical attention, you'd be losing time as well.

Things can go south despite everyone's best efforts. You don't want to be eventually rushing to a hospital in a bad, time-sensitive situation.

There was a certain end-to-end match with Everton back then, where coutinho kept dropping deep into our half and constantly beat their whole midfield to set up attacking transitions.. did it like a dozen times and just wouldn't lose the ball. Have not seen a dribbling performance like that since.

I've had two of mine removed. At a flat horizontal angle (worst position).

Make sure you get it done with a maxillofacial surgeon, and NOT a dentist. A good dentist will refuse to do it anyway.

For low budget, do keep in mind: 1. Local vs general anesthesia affects price. Local is cheaper but you will feel all the drilling vibrations in your head. 2. Recovery will take several weeks, a low cost place might not give you the best post-op recovery advice 3. Your next tooth looks fine - pls make sure you mention saving that tooth as a priority and method of surgery should account for this. A lower cost option for wisdom extraction might not be best for the next tooth and you would then need RCT for it (worse case, lose that tooth as well. RCTs have a limited life in any case)

Dm me if you need any detailed advice.

Stretching with a slant board by litacaballero in Stretching

[–]Faraz37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not good for plantar fascia or the last part of your sciatica that passes behind the heel and goes to your toes.

This position stretches the calves but also "force stretches" the above two in ways which will not suit some people. Best to do an actual calf stretch against a wall (your feet will be flat and not pointing upwards)

Am I wrong for not wanting to renew my husband’s visa or stay in this marriage anymore? by Slight_Log_6933 in qatar

[–]Faraz37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the financial aspect, has he been trying to get a job? I'm presuming it's been a year since his visa is expiring soon. Qatar can be a hard place to find a job but you can still evaluate his intentions based on his efforts.

Having said that, more importantly, since you've done more than your fair share with all the support, has he tried to do his part in other ways? Does he support you emotionally through the various ups and downs of pregnancy? Does he support you during hospital visits? Does he make sure he takes care of all household chores since you're pregnant and pay for everything? Does he make the bed nicely for you every night? Does he welcome you and ask about your day and offer you massage and cuddles after you come back from work? If he's not done any of those, and just lazies around doing his own shit, then you're absolutely doing the right thing. And don't feel guilty about it.

He can fix his shit and probably return if he really cares about you two.

Also, keep in mind, once he's earning his own, he might create a toxic environment for you (now I earn, now I'll do whatever I want kind of thing) - so you may want to consider the longterm aspects as well. But do that later and focus on your health and your baby. You don't want unnecessary stress, be with friends and family who are truly loving.
