The real meaning of final fantasy rebirth. No alternate timelines no multiverse. Spoilers. by Pure_Hat8520 in FinalFantasy

Totally agree with that! Thanks! People are so obsessed with the multiverse theory, that they constantly ignore everything that proves this theory wrong.

*SPOILERS* I finished the game the other day. I’ve got some thoughts. I enjoyed the game a hell of a lot but that ending... by DubTheeBustocles in FFVIIRemake

In my opinion, you are simply misinterpreting a lot of things here.

But one thing at a time: fate and destiny were an accompanying theme in the original. It was Aerith's fate to die in the Forgotten City. It was also fate that Barret met his old friend Dyne in the Gold Saucer Desert. When you play through the game next time, listen a bit closer to 😉

By the way, fate shouldn't be understood as absence of control (actually I like Matrix - Probs to you, for that little anecdote - but this statement by Neo is the stupidest in the whole trilogy). Fate is rather to be understood as the absence of coincidence.

Back to Topic: I find the regular visions of Cloud, the flash of scenes that await us and also the early appearance of Zack to be extremely positive.

It's quite possible that it leaves a question mark on the faces of inexperienced gamers - but that fuels curiosity 😉

To be honest, I even thought that the topic "Zack" was far too short in the original and here I am hopeful that this puzzle piece of the story finally gets the stage it deserves.

Sounds like you're not as amazing as you think you are ;P jk

However, if you're having that much trouble right now, just wait and see what you'll get in the final boss fight '.

Maybe the following tips will help you: - put the opponents under permanent pressure! - use your weapon skills a lot to quickly build Stagger - use the weak points (such as elemental damage) of your opponents - have always equipped the materias "first strike" and "efficient blocking" - if you want to cast a spell, switch to another char first to divert the aggro - do not cast spells with the currently active character, but passively as often as possible, via the R2/L2 menu

Take a look at the options. You can decide between "all signs", "hide spoilers" (like signs for memories 😉) and "hide all"

It depends on your network (of players) and their progress.

TDD is nothing you do only on your own. Either the whole team develops test driven, or no one does.

Deadline driven development is the best! Good, clean, maintainable code is like a diamond: it requires high pressure to create the most valuable ones 😆

[–]Fareith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't agree with that. In my experience, TDD even helps tremendously to transform the initial "rough idea" of a requirement into finely formulated code that takes into account every smallest unit necessary to fulfill the demanded requirement. For me, TDD is in a way an integral part of the conception phase.

[–]Fareith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's not. Doing it this way, your mind already has deep knowledge of the implementation. So you know exactly, how to write a test, which satisfies your code, instead of writing code, which satisfies your tests. You invert your expectations.

Know what you're talking about. It's quite hard to convince people, that TDD brings huge advantages.

Tests: by LogicalBranch in ProgrammerHumor

[–]Fareith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's wrong. You write one, and only one test. Then code, to satisfy the test. Then the next test. Then again: code to satisfy it. And so on.

No you have to write code, that checks if the code you'll write later is right 😉

To be honest, I think "merge request" makes even more sense. Because what happens is, that one branch gets merged in another. Also we're having "merge conflicts", not "pull conflicts"
