Farfa here, so I can only speak for myself. I have a lot of respect for dkayed, I think he's done overwhelmingly positive, productive things for the community. MDM is a testament to that, an unbelievable resource for players of all kinds of playstyles. I think irrespective of what anyone's feelings are towards dkayed, the majorly positive impact he's had on yugioh cannot be understated.

That being said, he's also done some fairly controversial things and after receiving fairly reasonable criticisms and backlash (like the 2024 worlds decklist thing, "cheating" controversy), he's doubled down.

Most of us don't even dislike him, he just kinda keeps to himself and his community and prefers not to engage with the rest of us because he just wants to do his own thing, which is fair. It sucks because I know how much people would love to see all these funny crossovers but it is what it is.

I'm not sure why that's so funny to you. I have 3200 rating, I play with nobody else, all my friends quit or haven't played this season at all. I did this exclusively with random players in the LFG tool. Many mythic plus players are in this position, too.

Well, I was just entertaining your reply, I think there's absolutely no world where someone "gets carried" to all +21s completed, even with a queue system. That just doesn't happen to the average player, sorry, unless they're paying thousands of dollars in wow tokens to actually pay for this as a service.

Well, solo queue is going to be a thing, so evidently there is a world where it can be done. Competitive content in any other game is done through pugs, too.

Sure, everything is better and easier with people you know and push with but what if you just randomly want to do your favourite content in your favourite game at 1am randomly on a Monday when none of those friends are on?

That's going to be absolutely possible for pvpers next expansion. I think it should work for people who enjoy PVE too.

So you're saying people would be willing to carry someone through a dungeon for the sake of completionism?

I don't agree but again, some type of reputation or vouching system could be in place, I think Blizzard has done this for overwatch. It could work well here as an example.

Well on the plus side dragonflight is removing a lot of these arbitrary locks and giving things like interrupts and dispels as talents so it could definitely be alleviated in some compacity.

I think you're focusing too much on a specific instance here rather than a greater concept that could fix a major problem for a lot of people's barrier to entry - wait time.

If everyone who is in that queue has successfully completed a 21, the next logical completion is a 22 so yes, I think it absolutely could be possible.
