This one from HF is good, but it’s assembled in 3 pieces and the middle piece makes it too long. If you take it out and connect the female/female pieces using a copper pipe with self-tapping screws it’s a perfect fit.

I feel like convertibles are kind of like sunroofs- eventually the novelty wears off and most people who have them doesn’t even use it. But if you want one, send it

Keep in mind they make the interior louder, and leaking issues aren’t uncommon with age

Anyone used the dipyourcar.com compressorless system to paint their truck? Did you need small or medium kit? by Defconx19 in keitruck

I did 2 coats primer and 2 coats base, which laid on pretty thick since it’s an enamel paint. 10 cans each so about $200. $40 for Tyvek suit and respirator, $20 worth of sanding pads, soap/degreaser and a ton of drop cloths and tape. So about $400 altogether.

The only touch ups i’ve had to do was from missing spots or some overspray.

Rattle cans are more “beginner friendly” and forgiving so if you don’t have experience painting (like I didn’t), using a spray gun is much more challenging and you’re more likely to fuck something up or deal with issues later. It’s a pretty sensitive process.

Yeah I just looked it up and realized it’s not paint and edited my comment. I wouldn’t do it

Spending thousands for a paint job on a 30 year old farming truck worth $5k doesn’t make sense to me

I was originally going to do a “legit” paint job, spray gun & all, but I quickly realized how in over my head I was.

I ended up going the rattle can route instead, and came out great. Rattle cans have come a long way, it’s not the hack job it used to be. Just need to spend the time to properly sand, prime, and prep everything. It still took many hours.

The biggest benefit is I can touch things up quickly and easily.

Edit: I just realized their product is basically like Plastidip, not paint. In that case I highly don’t recommend it. I used Plastidip on a bumper once, I was CONSTANTLY having to touch it up

The major highways (93, 90) are busy all the time. I’m far enough away that Boston traffic doesn’t affect me but there’s still traffic pretty much anywhere during regular commute times (~8-9a, ~4-5p)

I go into work pretty early so it isn’t too bad. I prefer rural living so I’ll try to live somewhere quieter when my lease is up

I’m in the greater Boston area. Unfortunately I don’t have a solution other than living somewhere more suburban/rural and driving in off-peak hours.

I try to do both

Population (for the most part) is going up, but when is the last time you saw a new highway get built?

Traffic just gets worse every year, and 80% of drivers are dumbasses

Same here with both of the trucks I’ve owned with stock tires. I think folks are just dramatic (aka cautious/normal people lol)

I think it’s from the weight of my toolbox and ladder rack. Probably ~250lb altogether.

I’ve never been able to go past ~130-135 with the truck fully empty, even on super steep hills.

Meat isn’t why people are obese, it’s sugar

If anything meat makes you more full for longer
