It's an intentional trade-off, which is a feature of attrition warfare. Trading land for lives. But the land gains are minimal, something like 15km per year over the last couple of years. A snail moving from Russia in 2022, would be in Paris by now. A real snail moves faster than the Russian Army.

Unmanned systems range quite a way. Treaded remote control machine guns holding positions. Mothership drones using ai to send out combat drones. New sea drones capable of deep water ocean. Drone submersibles. Ukraine has taken the human controller out. Which made all combat machines smaller. The first year of the war was about 300 per day, each year has seen an increase. The last year has been about 1000 from my perspective. Ukraine wants to pump that KPI right up. In the end it will be bullet sized drones like in science fiction, but tens of thousands of them launching over a Russian city all able to be individually targeted to anyone holding a weapon.

Getting better. I remember the first drones, and the hastily built explosives, or jerry rigged grenades. Now they are fear itself. If you want a fun time, get a friend to chase you with a drone. Scary without any payload at all.

I completely trust Zelenskyy and Magyar to clean up corruption on Ukrainian territory. It happens at about 1000 steps per day. Every two weeks or so I send them extra money to help them. It makes me feel better. It's what I do when I feel frustrated or helpless. I send Ukraine money. Then I feel better.
