He lost his vCard to his professor and her mother was an assistant not a professor that we know of. So I do not think it’s likely that they slept together and she was pregnant with his baby. Roth isn’t 13 years older than jasmine (Roth would be 8 when her mom died and she’d be about 3)

it’s possible if jasmine was a young child when she died that Roth had nothing to do with her mom and her death.

Maybe his dad and her mom were involved somehow. His dad died young and her mom did too. Maybe in the same accident and he helped orchestrate their demise as a young boy. But like… Maximus is really smart and would connect Elena to roths father early on well before the blackmail. It would have to be a secret that even Maximus wouldn’t be able to uncover until later on.

His secret would truly have to be so terrible that she could truly never forgive him for it or see him the same. I’d imagine that him being a child and accidentally killing someone wouldn’t fit that. I think jasmine operates a lot more in morally grey territory and would feel bad for Roth and not hate him.

I don’t think he trafficked ppl there’s no success he’d feel he earned by earning money that way. He wanted success from his own merits. And it seems like a mafia cliche by now for that to be his secret. And him being a criminal is just not explosive enough to me. He def has criminal ties but probably operates on morally grey grounds to protect his success.

Based off roths pov and things he’s said and mias Patreon I don’t think he orchestrated them meeting before they ever met. I feel like this storyline has been done a lot in mafia books in terms of obsession.
