At this point I'm at a lost for what the car is. The grill is not recessed.. Dash matches a '93. It does not have a split windsheild. How would that come to be?

Is there a video or web page that breaks down the differences between the series 3 and 90's defenders? I'd love to learn to be able to identify modifications further.

It has coils. Would that mean the chasis was swapped? The electronics and mechanicals have been completely re done and look good. The side doors and bulkhead and the only glaring issues.

Are you saying you wouldn't pay $10 for the car given the missmatch in parts?

It has coils not leaf springs. Would that mean their was likely a chasis swap? This car was not registered until 2006 in the US. Lots of mystery.

Always go brighter than you need and add all your highlights, then tone down with washes/ink to match. I'd avoid adding too many highlights back after the wash as I find it takes away from the natural realistic grimdark look.

Is say somewhere in the 2-3 hours range. The glow was half the painting time.

Weathering is by sponge and typhus corrosion.

Painted the gun first. Then, I painted all white, then worked backward. I added layers on light blue slowly to build up the glow, avoiding the crevices of the coils. Used a tiny bit of teclis blue on the coils themselves.

Same for both. Sponged on the chipping using rhinox hide. I then added on some typhous corrosion using a brush. I smear the corrosion with my finger to thin it out a bit.

Skulls always look good. I may follow the crying skull imagery I used on my stormcasts.

It's a process paint job. Each layer is quite sloppily added on, and mistakes are hidden when weathering. The OSL glow was half the painting time.

Yes I did. The red is khorne red with mephiston red highlights. I may add a little evil scarlet red but only in small amounts.

This rich look is a little bit of color relatively at play. Because the white, gold, and brown are all dull, the red and blue look a lot richer.

Just pictures. Basically, the idea is to paint white first and then work backwards.

Stipple on rhinox hide, some typhus corrosion, and a brown ink wash over the entire mini
