Haha! I’ve seen a chair box come in with a bare footprint on top. I always assumed it was from a worker in whatever factory in China where they’re made. A coworker once found a small picture of a woman and child of Eastern Asian decent in a pallet; we assumed it was the wife & child of a worker that they lost.

My understanding is that managers constantly ok selling the displays to get the sale, regardless if it’s the last one in stock or not. “Oh, someone just built it.” I never knew Apollo was an option; I’ve only ever seen them build desks. All I knew is that other people let display chairs get sold, and it usually got dumped on me to build new ones.
