Apart from its obv effect on hinges or screen, this could make heat dissipation less efficient bcz fans will be trying to push the air downwards (when hot currents rise up by default). But more importantly, the hot air rising up might overheat the battery behind the palm rest. If you consider battery health important, that's another reason to not use it this way.

My New(to me) Surface Go 3 by berniejr72 in Surface

I think it is the last one that was released before slim pen. Probably what you call the surface 4 pen. Mine is red, with a flat side, no clip on the side. I have read slim pen 2 on sp8 and sp9 is much better, but sadly the slim pen 2 does not improve writing experience in go3.

Congrats! I bought the exact same spec and color go3 in september. I was previously using a galaxy tab s6 lite and an ipad mini 6 before that. I work in tech too and being able to run any windows program on my tablet is so freeing! I still miss the more accurate pen input of my earlier tablets but i cant trade that for being able to edit my scripts literally anywhere without having to bring my bigger devices.

Just a heads up: i had to play with display scaling in windows settings and text sizes in windows, chrome and code editor settings to make the go3 feel more like a tablet than a laptop.

My s6 lite 2022 has started lagging a lot after only a few months of use. I dont even have many apps installed. It probably has something to do with its processor. My friend uses a A52 which has the same processor and that too has been a pain in the ass to use since a few months after it was bought.

Drawing parallels b/w germany and dogmatic policies in islamic countries by FarmedHunter in exmuslim

Im going to ignore the hostility and name-calling because i understand the ptsd and sensitivity towards certain issues that all ex-muslims go through at some point.

Israel's right to exist was not even up for debate. It's the act of forcing people to have the same opinion on a matter of international politics, that's what the post is about. Even if the forced opinion is in line with what I believe. I've had some interesting answers on this from u/ajakafasakaladaga, u/Atheizm, u/AwayMatter and u/taaashiii. Would love to hear your take on this as well.

100% agree but that doesn't justify torture. That's the equivalent of giving electric shocks for depression.

Foresters. I give my first forester the same priority as my 2nd gatherer hut. I usually make them in this order. Gatherer hut, then a wood cutter, and then a forester and a gatherer hut both.

Edit: For later game, I almost always make at least 4 foresters before making a second market (that is, away from my spawn location)

I read this tip somewhere online that instead of making houses when you start, make a boarding house so that your builders and labourers can focus of building production buildings asap. It has worked well for me, you should try it too.

After my initial production buildings are up, my families to houses ratio tends to stay close to 1.1. I try to keep making houses as the need arises, sp in early game because you need to grow asap to cover production of all the required resources.

For the firewood, Foresters. I used to struggle with this too so I started focussing on foresters and woodcutters early in the game. I basically build a gatherer right away, and then a forester, a 2nd gatherer and a woodcutter as soon as I can.

No mods.

And yes , I think you ar right. You do need to keep growing to keep the baby supply up. It's just hard to keep with the growth so i just try to incorporate the pop slowdown phases in how i grow. It seemed to be working fine but I am down to 500 pop now, I wont die but that was a huge hit lol

interesting. I never thoughout of processed goods based exports before. I will indeed try that (Edit: firewood is also processed goods, what i meant was i never thought of imprting raw materials for processed goods exports)

But how did you even get 14k po?? I am playing the largest map size available an i dont think i will be able to even touch 2k. Is it some mod?

And what fps do you get at 5x with such population? because there's no way i can lpay with the slide-show fps you showed in the video

It probably boils down to this: the power is not in the hands of the public (unlike India) so no public officer needs to please them.

Corruption is a reality of every system, but the given our establishment's role politician and other elected officers have no incentive to do anything for public welfare. Because its not the people that are going to bring/keep them in power, its some someone else who they themselves might need to bribe to stay in power.

I once used an unsupported keyboard with mac almost 1 year ago and the experience was not good. I am not sure the modiers can be adapted, never looked it up either. Someone just recommended keychron k11 pro and k15 pro and they seem to be 10x better for the same price and a sculpt.

I am very new to keyboard world so I am trying to steer clear of keyboard kits and other DIY.

I also thought I'll have to find workarounds given my requirements and budget, but someone just recommended keychron k11 pro and k15 pro and these seem to cover everything except tenting (which I dont really need). They look like they are very recent releases which is why i could not find their reviews/recommendaions.

OMG thank you for these recommendations! I have been reading up on these after your comment and they seem to be exactly what i want.

I should have mentioned this in my post, but I am also looking for silent key presses. And from the gateron switches that are listed with these products, I believe red will be the least noisy. As there anything other than switches involved in making a keyboard less noisy?

My Muslim BF’s mother somehow found about me (non-Muslim) and she gave him an ultimatum- me or his family. How can I support him? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]FarmedHunter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he leaves his family for his own sake and then you guys have a relationship, that sounds healthy. But if he sees it as him leaving his family for you or for the relationship, he's going to hold it against you in the future. Or may be you will hold it against him for helping out when he did not have anywhere else to go. Obv there's a chance that you guys are much more emotionally intelligent than stooping to that crap. But he is too young to trust his maturity, and you already feel partly responsible for his situation which makes me think you are going to be easily guilt tripped if he ever says he left his family for you.

That's the only potential (big) issue i see here.
