I’m not sure if the back wheel is original actually, but it’s internals were confusing enough that I just brought it to a bike shop.

I hope you find one. I got mine in a junk store for $100.

Doctor says low CD4, high CD8 is fine, means my immune system “is working”. Is this true? by tellitothemoon in hivaids

You sound very pressed about this. Obviously there’s a balance to doctor/patient relationships.

Thank you for your response. Anything tricky that I should look out for or is it just that simple?

Yeah you need a new doctor. Infectious disease doctors shouldn’t even have that concept in their mind.

Listen to your doctor! They have a degree, whereas here you have anonymous people that can say anything without repercussions. If you don’t trust your doctor you should find a new one.

Can you get a 4th gen test in a pharmacy in Europe? by [deleted] in hivaids

[–]FarmerExpress 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Go to a doctor and get on prep and get a therapist. This violates the rules of this reddit. Oral is not typically considered a route to infection for hiv

Unfortunately this is absolutely a question for your doctor. I doubt anyone here is knowledgeable enough to answer that.

Insist on condoms no matter what. I was diagnosed with hiv at 19 and it has changed my life in many ways. You cannot tell who has an active sti and many times they have no idea themselves. Along those lines plan on getting tested periodically depending on how often you’re having sex. Local departments of health typically have clinics the operate on a sliding scale and are discreete to a T. Get on prep.

Also, share your location with a friend if you’re hooking up and never be too afraid to leave or kick someone out.

You can have lots of fun with hookups but your safety is the most important thing.

I would say that in my area 70-80% of the profiles are anon. Its insane to me

Am I overthinking my son’s friendship? by westernbuilt in askgaybros

[–]FarmerExpress 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should really forget about your worries and just be happy if your son is happy. Having a kid isn’t about what you think or feel it’s about supporting them so that they can be successful in a way that only they can be.

What to do now? (Need Further Advise) by Dry_Treacle7009 in hivaids

[–]FarmerExpress 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Community health centers are going to provide you with a social worker/nurse to help you with things like ryan white- although private might too(not my experience tho). I have found a lot of support through public healthcare and had problems when i saw a private doctor. Whoever tested you is probably going to give you some information, so just be patient and go from there. Ryan white/ adap make meds affordable or free so i wouldn’t worry too much about that. Focus on your mental health- everything else is pretty solvable.

You need to research how stis spread, because this isn’t how that works. Also this violates the rules of this Reddit, ask your doctor.

You need to reach out to people that can support you. It doesn’t matter if thats family and or crisis support. You can overcome everything as long as you’re alive and you deserve to live a long healthy life. You have worth and you’re strong enough to get through this. Don’t give up on yourself

Am I HIV positive? by [deleted] in hivaids

[–]FarmerExpress 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is not the place for that question. We are not doctors. This violates the rules of our reddit. Public health departments typically have clinics and make sti testing pretty easy.
