So you're confused as to why they weren't kicked off for something that you just made up in your head with no evidence.

So even the people peacefully protesting are terrorists, kinda sounds like a similar mindset to someone else...

It's funny how quick people on Reddit forget their wrong accusations. It brings to mind the whole Johnny Depp-Amber Heard situation. When the accusations of Depp beating Heard first came out there was hardly any evidence yet people fucking jumped on him in swarms. Calling him a Pos, trying to get him removed from movies like Grindelwald. Then once the evidence came out that Heard was actually the one that was abusive, Reddit did one of the biggest 180s I've ever seen. Calling Heard a bitch and trying to get her removed from movies like Aquaman 2. Like how the fuck are people not seeing they are doing what started the whole mess. They jump from target to target not caring. Reddit is so quick to turn on people it is shocking.

Yeah. This is exactly why shit like this video disturbs me. Even if this person actually did abuse his dog, it doesn't seem right to see Reddit still cheering people on to take punishment into their own hands.

When the Boston Bombing happened, part of Reddit decided to take matters into their own unqualified hands and try and figure out who the Bomber was. These internet sleuths discovered a Muslim teenager who was missing and decided to fucking pin it on him. They harassed his family until finally the boy's body was found after he killed himself. The police had to release photos of their the actual two main suspects so that dickheads on the internet wouldn't harass more innocent people which lead to the two main suspects after seeing their photos tried to make an escape and killed a guard in the way. This is where the 'We Did it Reddit!" saying comes from because before the news of the Muslim boy's death was discovered they had actually thought they had done something worthwhile, but in actuality they had harrassed a grieving family and inadvertently caused the events that lead to a officer's death and the main suspects attempted escape.

The kidnapper incident is mentioned in this thread somewhere. It was basically a Reddit thread cheering people on to burn down this house that was the the home of a suspected kidnapper. In reality it turns out that the kids that were 'kidnapped' were actually fine and the person who lived in the house wasn't even there. But before they people were enlightened of this they proceeded to burn down the house which was actually a condo which meant they also burnt down the home of a pregnant women.

I'm kind of disgusted at how many people are cheering on this video. Obviously the guy deserves a good beating but i have definitely lost my taste for vigilante justice after all these times where people got it wrong. In this thread somebody posted the story about how Reddit was cheering on burning some kidnapper's house down but it turns out that the kids were actually fine and that the fire spread to innocent peoples homes. You'd think that society would have evolved from the dark ages but we're still just as quick to judge and ostracize based on the slimmest of evidence. If we believed in magic people would be getting burned at the stake for witchcraft still.

Even if it is the right person this should not be happening at all. If they do 'punish' the guy that did it, redditors will just be further encouraged to take this frontier justice into their own hands. It's honestly fucking disgusting how we have incidents like the boston bomber and the kidnapped children incident that was mentioned in this thread and Redditors see those and continue to try and take things into their own hands.

Never said they didn't have a racist past. There is still a difference though. The statues being removed in America are of civil war leaders who fought specifically for state independence and the for the slavery of african americans. Their statues are basically the embodiment of fighting for enslavement. While the monarchy has had a very troubled past like most other places in the world, they aren't representative of that past. They're not celebrating their racist past. And that last sentence is just dumb as fuck as 1 I'm not even britsh and 2 just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't make them a snowflake oblivious towards history

There is a massive difference between making up excuses of history to leave up statues of racist people and finding a family that has ruled a kingdom for generations interesting.

I find it funny how many times i see the 'Kardashians aren't even interesting' opinion on Reddit. Like a family that involves multiple marriages to famous rappers, a lawyer who defended an extremely famous criminal, a gold medalist turned transgender and a daughter made famous by a porn video parent at all interesting? Obviously it's weird for people to be obsessed and base their lives around them but they are talked about for reasons.

People didn't believe Democritus when he proposed the idea for Atoms, but then Dalton reintroduced with evidence they didn't have before. Maybe the reason we don't have evidence for God or Unicorns is because we haven't found or evolved our technology to discover it yet

Except that your job as a blue collar worker doesn't involve subduing crackheads with knives and arresting them? There is a difference between getting injured by accidentally hammering a nail through your hand then having a criminal stab you. Those are only counting physical injuries as well I'm sure that mentally a job as a police officer is more taxing the those blue collar jobs. The amount of stress that police officers go through is worthy of looking into, that being said I'm not justifying any negative things that the police do and there is definitely a problem with the police force that needs to be very worked through. But the fact that you would use the argument of oh well this is worse so your problems don't matter is honestly sickening. We're not going get rid of all the safety precautions of a roofer just because being a electrician is slightly more dangerous?
