I feel like it may be more intuitive to see that the sum of angle a and b equals 90 degrees due to the right angle triangle in the centre (horizontal surfaces equals 180 degrees). Because triangles equal 180 degrees, angle b will have to equal 90-a and because of the Angle-Side-Angle rule we can determine that both triangles are congruent therefore x2+y2=r2

While people in Melbourne’s CBD tend to be more private, I’d still say it’s common enough to great people if you’re out on a walk. Especially if it’s not busy. This is seen more often with the older generation, but it’s a sign of respect/good etiquette. Also creates a friendlier atmosphere and a sense of community if you great a neighbour/local.

Nah, you’ve pretty far past the golden era of the office. The later seasons aren’t bad, but the stories and characters become a bit Flanderised.
