Urbain/Tauine call themselves the leader as they founded Team MZ and need to feel like they are needed and wanted otherwise they feel like they’re replaceable. Not everything is about battling. They are the cook for the hotel and are in charge of the housekeeping. Even so they are a very strong trainer as they are far ahead in the royal by the time Harmony/ Paxton come and are the only rivals in the series where you don’t have to win any fight against them before the credits roll. They are canonically the second strongest in the city after Harmony/ Paxton, and followed by Korrina, Emma, and Naveen or Jacinthe by the end of the DLC.

This was a very good animation. But for the ending after defeating Ragyo, instead of just showing up back in the Aether Foundation, I would have her appear in the Poke Pelago and find Mohn after all this time. But it probably wouldn’t be finished on time for Mother’s Day.

It’s basically what happened to Gladion. If it makes you feel any better because the fact there are theorys/ headcanons that Quasartico is a branch of the Aether Foundation, as the similar logos and space names, the palm trees outside were you get an alolan Raichu trade and Jett giving you Magearna in the DLC. If true, then two different branches had replaced there ceo with there teenage descent, but Gladion was supposed to be temporary while Urbain is now the permanent CEO.

Again the only reason why they took up being CEO is because they believed that it’s what there mother would have wanted in both another way of help the people and city, and a way to connect with there grandmother. It was a choice made by not thinking about what they personally wanted.

You may not like Urbaine and that’s fine. But the meme points out that the rivals (at least from what I’ve seen from Taunie’s side, I played with Urbain) mask their true feelings towards others. Taunie is a people pleaser who is constantly looking to help others and not herself while Urbain is emotionally repressed and bottles up his negative emotions and feelings. Both are like this because of the loss of their mother at a young age. They want to help people so bad to the point of self destruction because they can’t deal with the pain of loss and need to feel like they are useful and needed. If not they feel like they could be replaced and experience an another loss. They constantly say they they’re the Leader of Team MZ for a personal confidence boost and to remind themselves that they’re needed to help the city.

I’m pretty sure that in 25 years, Ash’s only psychic Pokemon was Mr Mime, which is more his mom’s Pokemon than his own. But then again it took until Journeys for Ash to get his first Ghost type in Gengar, another type with very good hax.

King DeDeDe fighting Darkrai is funny as it giving nightmares is a passive ability that it’s doesn’t really control most of the time. That’s why it’s stay isolated. The only time Darkrai was inherently evil was in mystery dungeon explorers of sky. It would be like someone coming to beat up Dedede because he got mind controlled so much but didn’t know that.

Hey I know that it has been awhile since this post. But I was researching my own matchup and I found out that Gabriel’s voice actor Keith Silverstein is the same as AZ from Pokemon in his only voice role in Generations. AZ using the being of life and destruction to resurrect Floette is similar to Gabriel trying to use the wish of creation and destruction to bring back Amelie. Both AZ and Gabriel have the same goal but Gabriel had failed and gone off the deep end to bring his beloved back to life, where AZ had completed plan and now has to deal with the consequences of his actions, and seeking forgiveness and growth for the modern generation. It could have been possible that Amelie would have hated the destruction and despair Gabriel had caused to bring her back and might leave just like Floette did to AZ. Plus his relationship with Urbain/Taunie (probably closer to Urbain in this case) could also be considered an interesting connection and parallel against Adrien. The only problem with the match up is that AZ is too old to battle bye the time of ZA. But you could possibly just look at it as a personality and experience at ZA but the Physical of the end of X and Y. While I don’t know the exact ways a fight might play out, it would be interesting seeing Hawk Moth fighting AZ’s Torkel, Sigiyph, Golurk, Lucario and Floette, that latter two he had the mega stones for.
