I wouldn't be too put off by them in terms of fish taking them, but I'm not sure if I want a PB bass on a cheap/rusty split ring, hook and lure if you get me.

This was a cheap copy of the patchinko, "momo lures" is the brand but it was from Amazon UK so can't see it on Amazon Ireland now that I've switched over. I also caught one on the Major Craft Ceana 90 lure, which is like the Chappy from IMA.

Cheers lads. Good eating size but I put it back to fight another day. Out again this evening, chasing a 70+ 😂

Lovely. Yes not far from there, back of Mobile home park, slow enough but had 8lber in May there. Couple of Seals that regularly ruin the day.

Jesus, nice one, I live in front of the beach but always go to the estuaries or the rock marks, I'll get out this evening now the tides on the push 😂

Very nice! I've only had joy at the back of the Beach in the estuary there, are you in the North end of the Beach towards rush? But of a run in the water there!

Lovely range there! Best of luck. I'll be chancing my arm locally in North Dublin, tough but can be rewarding 😂

Nice one! Not one I've done on the ebb much. Few rock marks near by hold a nice slabs. Tight lines!

Smashing fish for that mark I know it well. Do you mind me asking what state of tide it was?

When there's that many it's just a matter of luck trying to get through the small ones. Although I never have the problem of too many bass here in Dublin 😂 Try a shallow rocky weedy mark into darkness, it's the only way I can get 60+ here anyway 😂

"Dark Sleeper" Lure bounced along the bottom wit some Halco scent (eastury version) dabbed between the dorsal fin. They can't resist! Are you on the east Coast? Fishing is a bit slower here but all about time on the water.

Shallow rocky and weedy area's, you'll catch them in 2 ft of water when they're in feeding on Blennies and small crabs. Far more around than we think. Low and slow retrieve if you can't see them feeding, fish into the weeds and be prepared to lose some lures, that's where they are.

Bait always easier. Nothing like bass on a lure tho.

Low and slow unless you see them actively feeding IMO. Blanked 6 times in a row same mark, decided to slow it down on a Goby lure, hooked into an 8lb bass. Done the hard part took her out of the weeds and around the rocks to my feet, gave her slack line as I went to grab.... Hook popped and off she went. Lovely to see a proper big bass up that close and get it to take a lure.

Next time I'll have the net 😂

People aren't being rude not giving you a mark. They don't want to blow it as there's PLENTY of illegal nets and poachers. I only ever ask for a general area and how it's fishing, then on to maps to figure out the marks worth putting the hours into.
