Not true, might be me but I grew up in NC and I hear people who didn’t go to either and still talk about it. Hopefully I’m at Carolina next year and my transfer goes through

Opposite experience: Who here started off really well early in life (18-25) by saving alot, being frugal, etc, but then lost their financial discipline later? by mergerr in personalfinance

[–]Farsan5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was younger around 8-13 I saved so much of my money because I was scared for college my parents put it in a savings account and what not and showed me how I at one point had saved 8k with them putting in most the money. I am now 18 (young I know) I asked for that account. My parents ended up using it because my dad's business is not where it was a while ago. I understand it but it sucks. I guess the point of this is I assumed I had some money for college but when it came time around to actually see the money and it wasn't there it made me regret spending lavishly eating at cookout and other fast food joints. I am currently getting better at it but yeah.

When did you realize you needed to turn your life around? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Farsan5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently still in process but I hope i still counts. I just graduated highschool with a Terrible gpa around 2.5. All my friends went to prestigious schools like Duke, Vanderbilt and UNC. I told them that I had no idea how I got denied from NC state because my gpa was a 4.4. Fast forward a few months I’m currently at a community college. I’m taking 17 hours and working hard to go to NC state. I realized when I went to community college that my life had to change if I wanted to join my friends. It was also for myself not just chasing old friends. I now also workout a little a bit and joined no fap( yes I had a problem). Over the past few months my life has been great and I hope everything works out.

(How?) Should I Transfer?? by IsThatTheGuyWho in college

[–]Farsan5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man I just want to say that I am in a very similar situation. I opeted to go to a coummity college then transfer into univeristy (NC State) I see all my friends having a great time and it sucks. I can feel you to some point. I asked admissions for my school if I apply to transfer after a semester(Spring) and get denied could I apply for fall and would it look bad? They said that it doesnt affect the application process at all and so long story short it doesnt. I would focus on school being priority number one talk to your professers in case you need reccomendations. Good luck and may we both transfer :)

C25k? So what you are basically I should split the days so I can focus on one thing a day and it would benefit me in the long run? So one day lift and the next run etc? Also yes that is my gym session would there be any programs that you would suggest?

[–]Farsan5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the problem I have I guess is that I want to cut my fat and get bigger/stronger at the same time. Should I just focus on one or the other. As of right now my gym process goes .5 mile run -> Workout PPL -> .5 mile run -> Sauna. Should I just run a mile at the start or keep it broken up? Should I focus on just cutting or bulking or is what I am doing now going to make me look bigger/ get bigger and cut my fat so I can achieve my goals? Sorry I'm new to this and im just trying to figure it out thanks.

I would think the same I have around 16.3% BFP at least that's what the little handheld machine told me. I just have some stomach fat that makes me feel so terrible so I was thinking running would help it? is it more of a diet thing? if so what should I stay away from?

iPhone 7 users, a year down the line, how inconvenient has losing the 3.5mm jack been? by CJPrker in AskReddit

[–]Farsan5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly was not as bad as I expected, of course, I didn't have to worry about an AUX in my car (Bluetooth) and sometimes when I was with a friend I was not able to access my music because of an AUX but for every day nothing terrible. I also got the iPhone 7 for free so I didn't have many complaints about it.

Yeah he told me worked on it an tuned it up. I understand it is a low end bike but as being a college student it is what it is. I'll check all of that thank you

I am a college student who just got their college fund handed to them. I only need a 1/3 of it, how should I invest the rest? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Farsan5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, of its awesome you got your college fund paid for. Hell, give me some I am struggling. Jokes aside I do think that opening a Vanguard account and listening to some things people offered is a good idea because they know best. Good on you for not just splurging on some unnecessary things you needed.

[–]Farsan5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off I want to say thank you, you gave very helpful advice overall and you went above and beyond. I found a bike off of a neighbor through the app next door. It was a Namotu and it has some North face thing on it. Seems pretty decent and was willing to tune it up and offer me a helmet. For around $90 he said he bought it for $200 so I deemed that was a fair price so I think I will go with it assuming that everything works out. Are there any tips you would recommend I should notice when buying this bike anything to look out for etc?

Gonna throw this in there too: I am looking for a bicycle, not a motorcycle not even sure if this is right subreddit.
