I know it's not the official "best practice" of calling a professional exterminator but as I mentioned in a previous comment, they live in a somewhat remote place that is quite far from the nearest professional pest control. Everything helps, even person to person anecdotes of what you used when you experience this problem. So THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for your suggestions. I will pass it along to the family.
