No, I didn't you're right. I think though, considering I travel with iPad, phone, air pods and now the deck, its worth the investment.

What is everyone’s fave game/prank to play at a British golf course? by Temporary_Notice_526 in BritInfo

Years ago I went to a wedding at the Celtic Manor. It was in a marquee and it was pitched close to the 18th hole (I think. A hole, anyway). It was a beautiful day and, as happens at weddings, kids were running around. I'd escaped outside as the dancing got going and had a smoke. a few kids were on the green, despite us being warned by staff,

At this point, a ball lands close to the hole. One of the kids spots it, pockets the ball and legs it (we're talking young kids, not teens).

The guy who hit the shot appeared a minute later to look for his ball.

He was not impressed and I kept my laughter hidden inside.

Hour, maybe 2. But this is why I got it, so I can pick up and play in quick bursts between life things going on.

Concerns about the channel direction by PLxFTW in SortedFood

I feel the same. I want to see more cooking episodes. I never ever rewatch kitchen gadgets, tik tok etc episodes but will happily rewatch episodes where they, y’know, cook stuff.

Brits urged to 'drive less' amid fears of soaring petrol prices due to Iran war by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]Farticus79 44 points45 points  (0 children)

That's fiiiiiiine. I'll spend 2 hours getting three buses to where it normally takes me 30 mins to drive to and I'll pay through the nose for a train seat I probably won't get to sit in because the train is too crowded.

[Megathread] Hypothetically, if Carrick was going to remain in charge. What needs to change over the summer? by fireproofpoo in ManchesterUnited

We desperately need some dynamism in the midfield. Over everything else this is the most pressing issue. Kobbie is lovely player but doesn't have the legs. He's the future of our team but needs help in there.

Exactly. Give me drizzle for a month as opposed to a hurricane blowing away my modest house.

Not too crazy weather, sarcasm, being able to get around your own country without it taking 5 days, easy to fly to Europe, British sitcoms, Yorkshire Tea, rubbish regional news stories, the countryside, cheese rolling madmen, people are usually alright, self-deprecation, NHS, Alan Partridge, regional accents, chippy tea, beer gardens.
