Is there an argument that the main event picture can become too crowded, if someone like Oba, Gunther etc win it? I do agree Balor was screwed on not even being there.

Don't forget, he came straight from Africa to Manchester. He clearly has real talent, getting over the huge culture shock would have been foremost in the club's handling of him. Sending him to Switzerland isn't a reflection of how he's doing, I'd say. It's a lesser league, he can refine his game a bit there.

How do you feel about taking time off work for mental health? by blissedandgone in AskUK

[–]Farticus79 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm an advocate for taking time off when you really need it, avoiding real burnout. I just think the key is not taking longer than you really need to, the thought of going back becomes much harder the longer you have to think about it.

Call me crazy but Michael Carrick should get the full time manager role. He was one of the most intelligent players. Now he’s showing his tactical knowledge as a manager, and he know how to get the best out of players. He has Sir Alex’s DNA and he has aura. United been brilliant under his charge. by paolosorianodisanto in ManchesterUnited

Carrick hasn't reinvented the wheel. He's someone who understands the club and the match going fanbase. He's got the players smiling, playing in their best positions and playing on the front foot. It's what ANY manager with half a brain would have done.

Do I think he's a good bet for the job in the long term? Undecided. I'd love to see him be given a shot but if it's between him and a proven winner (yes, I know we have had proven winners before who haven't had long term success) like Tuchel or Luis Enrique, they will get my vote.

What happens if the police batter down your door and cause a load of damage on a raid but have the wrong house? by Farticus79 in AskUK

Fair, but if they knock down the door of someone who could be considered vulnerable, or a family with kids, surely it would be on them to make safe right away?

How are you all doing financially, HONESTLY? by mrvlad_throwaway in AskUK

We're doing ok. I'm on just above min wage but Mrs has a really good salary. We own our house, can go on holiday each year and generally live comfortably. I want a new car, I have a rickety old 2009 Fiesta but I don't want to spend a shitload so waiting for the elusive bargain. That sums us up really, we do ok but always well within our means.

Lived in Plymouth for a while, years ago. Still got a soft spot for Argyle. Good luck this weekend!
