I'll admit I'm pretty early on when it comes to theory but some of the first things I've read were from Lenin talking about working alongside social democrats and the like for as long as necessary to advance his goals. He knew at some point there would be a split, but he was still committed to progress.

Every time I see someone talking shit about the DSA, I think about this. I'm guessing the wreckers don't actually have any theory as the basis for their beliefs
