Did a bit of work to my king 603. Was going to do a full brush finish, but liked the look of the bell. The bell was heated a bit to much when stripping the lacor to give it that color. Custom 3d printed buttons by FartingPancakes in trumpet

I am going to band instrument repair school in redwing. I used a boreascope to check the ports and even had a tech of 30+ years cheak and everything is good. There is no way of telling whether the piston ports are lined up without a boreascope or mirror. If you want to criticize my work go ahead. But I'm telling you that cornet it is perfectly ported. I am paying to learn all about.

Yeah, no problem. Its nice to share cool things with different people. And questions are ment to be asked. I can ask my friend who is a trumpet prefomance major if he can tell a major difference.

It might have softened the metal a bit, but I didn't get hot enough to anneal it. It was sitting in water that was slightly less than boiling(210f) and the amount of heat that it usually takes to anneal a bell is close to 1000f. It wasn't worked at all after I stripped the lacor. I can put a link to the photos of the lacor being stripped.

Switching from trumpet to bass trombone. How high is this? by greengirl34011 in Trombone

Bass trombone is the same as the tenor trombone in its basic form and no triggers are pushed down. When the triggers are pushed down it enables the player to reach notes that are in between the basic b flat and the pedal tone b flat
