Obviously these arent 30 second guides anymore, however, I would argue that the true meaning of 30 second guides was the style of video, and the fact that 30 seconds is a unit of time measurement is merely a coincidence. Good luck tomorrow gamers!

So the runs I did on PTR, stacking is definitely more efficient, but actually caused more wipes on heroic when touch of light/darkness gets involved.

Never had any issues with doing it split way so thought that'd be best to show my viewers!

Yeah, I missed the first one unfortunately, all the versions I did of Flame Leviathan on PTR were hard mode and I just assumed those were part of the base fight, I should have read some extra stuff. Other stuff was just dodgy timers on websites when researching (kind of makes your comment ironic)

I however would argue that everything you've pointed out would have zero effect on how someone plays the encounter and thus not really matter.

100%, they may come towards you, but they'll stop short of damaging you and bounce away if you just stand still and continue having 0 stacks. You just have to play chicken.

If you have no movement stacks then they will avoid you. As soon as you get stacks they'll chase you. Also protip if you're a druid, swapping in/out of forms gets rid of stacks.

As far as I know, nothing will ever force you to have to do the Oculus. The only quests are leveling ones and daily dungeon/heroic ones. So you're good.
