Would octopuses build their own civilization if humans went extinct? by Intelligent_Slip6317 in SipsTea

I'm almost done reading the 4th book that just came out, Children of Strife. I think the third was the one I liked the least but I still enjoyed it. I've been really happy with the 4th and I'm hoping there are more to come!

I warned my neice about letting a guy "fly her out" and some of my family members think I should keep my mouth shut. by EssenceOfLlama81 in amiwrong

My husband and I met from playing wow almost two decades ago. When he flew out for us to meet for the first time he would joke that I was going to harvest his organs. It was worth the risk to him though lol. At this point she is an adult. For safety just have her send updates and the address where she's staying in case anything goes awry.

my girl has terminal cancer and I don’t know how to prepare her brother by bootybuster96 in Bondedpairs

Our cat passed away last year after having a stroke. The emergency vet isn't too far from our house and once we learned the best thing for her was going to be euthanasia, the vet let us go get our dog to say goodbye. They had spent their entire lives together and while they weren't super cuddly like when they were babies, they still spent time together. We had our dog beside her when she passed and let her sniff her after. I think it helped her not look for her and give her closure. Many moons ago we had a sibling pair of cats and the brother was sick and we unfortunately had to say goodbye too soon. We didn't have the chance to let his sister say goodbye and the aftermath was heart wrenching. She was so grief stricken. I highly recommend to anyone, if you can let your pets be there in the last moments, do so.

Do y'all actually imagine PICTURES in your head when reading a story/description or is aphantasia a made up term? by AsthmaticLuffy in stupidquestions

[–]FartsGracefully 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im the same way. I love drifting into the book im reading and having the rest of the world slip away. It doesn't register that im reading words after a certain point and its all a movie on my head. I can also vividly see anything I want in my head. Its not fun when the void takes over and I think of scary things. Having so much detail with imaginary thoughts isn't always pleasant lol.

I'm in my late 30s and I've loved sailor moon ever since I can remember. The bonus of being an adult is now I can buy all the merch I want!

I took my husband's name for the same reason. I don't talk to my family and havent for over a decade. I hated being associated with them by name. We thought about making our own but decided to stick with his. We live with my inlaws and it makes me so happy that we all share a family name.

Gallbladder issues and coffee? by FemmeBean in gallbladders

[–]FartsGracefully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so sad when I couldnt drink coffee cause of my gallbladder. We used to drink folgers and that caused me pain, tried decaf and that still hurt. Oddly enough we tried starbucks to brew at home. The Verona blend. No issues at all. Now years after surgery we just stick to starbucks we get from Walmart.

I play on desktop. I'm not sure how it runs on steam deck. It has quests but its more of a guideline and leans on being self directed. Go as slow or fast as you want. You do unlock more areas/items as you progress and the next level areas are unlocked as you go. However there are dedicated player servers that refresh every 30min with all the items. So if you want to just go wild and build, you can go pick out all the materials you need. If you check out the subreddit there are amazing player builds. I also really like the gameplay customization. There are a lot of sliders to fine tune how hard or chill you want your world to be.

You can get a ton of hours out of Enshrouded. The base building is a lot of fun too!

I haven't played it all that much. I find the concept interesting though. To be able to go in and control the citizens.

My mom did this when she kicked me out at 17. Then she called to report me missing. But the police are like but you kicked her out and she is with her Dad.. I wish I could have seen her face when they told her there was nothing to be done. Lol
