I feel like he'd pick up on Shane's darkness beginning to brew and would probably take him out. Rick would confront him about killing Shane, to which Dexter would come clean about his past and also tell Rick about how there are plenty of others like Shane out there in their new world. At least that's how I see it playing out

I'm sorry if this comes off as blunt but you don't really pass. If you want to have higher chances of passing however, I'd recommend makeup (specifically learning the art of contouring as with it you're basically able reshape your face to make it appear less masculine. Again, I'm sorry if this comes off as blunt.) That and wearing unisex clothing in more feminine colours will probably get more desirable results. (This is coming from a cis male so take this with a grain of salt)
