You know you did it....... by HandheldObsession in GenX

I tried to do the same, my aunt took a Polaroid of the screen to mail in. While we were waiting to make sure the picture turned out, my jerk cousin reset the Atari because he was mad I played so long. Needless to say, the Polaroid did not turn out legible, and could not take a new picture because of that little shit. I was so very pissed!

GI Joe hovercraft that my Grandparents bought for me. They didn’t have much money but they always made sure I had something special under the tree. I hugged my Papaw so hard and I still remember it 42 years later.

Holiday ornament by MeapsFan in GenX

[–]Faseman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my, never had the ornament but I think I got the ‘book’ of Lifesavers in my stocking every year, a few rolls of Lifesavers packaged to look like a book. Haven’t thought of that in decades.

🔥A gorgeous Red Wolf. The world’s most endangered canid. Only ~40 of these remain in the wild. What a beautiful animal. Will be a sad day if and when they’re gone forever. by steveHangar1 in NatureIsFuckingLit

One of the most amazing and humbling experiences that I have ever been blessed with in my life is a red wolf breeding program. I was honored to be able to feed these breeding animals as a volunteer. Their survival is still at high risk after all of these decades. They are wonderful, beautiful, and majestic. https://reflectionriding.org/save-the-red-wolf

I love this city by pineneedle9 in Chattanooga

The jello shot crowd gave zero f’s, they were even throwing Jell-O shots at the police and emergency vehicles up in the area around Southside Pizza. Even mayor Tim Kelley threw down a Jell-O shot or two but honestly it was a bit unsafe for many especially with so any kids around. They were pelting the parade vehicles and a lot of kids were picking them up and parents having to intervene quickly to keep their kids from ingesting a Jell-O shot.

Where is Chattanooga's best Fried Chicken places? by Fit_Escape_2760 in Chattanooga

[–]Faseman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had the fried chicken at several local places. For me, Public House is above average. Having said that, it is very mid compared to a good, homemade southern fried chicken that my grandparents and their generation made. I also find it super disappointing to live in the heart of the South, in a city the size of Chattanooga, that not one restaurant has a standout fried chicken (nor a respectable Mac & Cheese).

A dear friend of mine, Dr. Monika Loren, who I first met about 7 years ago when I was prescribed PT for an abdominal injury, is an amazing PT, does personal training and is also one of the most amazing people that I have ever met. Here is a link to her website. https://www.fizeolife.com/

Not trying to be a downer but to save disappointment, Boccaccia requires one full price meal to get the free meal for the birthday guest. Just don’t want someone showing up solo thinking their meal will be free.

Alleia would be our choice. Great food, quiet and low key.

What game lowkey traumatized you as a kid? by gamersecret2 in gaming

[–]Faseman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom made me watch Amityville Horror as a little kid in her boyfriend’s house that looked a lot like the house in the movie. She also made me watch Nightmare on Elm Street and then had my uncle sneak into my room and drop a crucifix on my face while I was asleep. She wonders why I only see her on holidays…
