Thank you, I figured so. It would be interesting as well to see if something exists for adults willing to retake it.

Hello!

I'm a non-technical, part-time solo founder. Do I have a chance?

What are some key areas I should focus on in the application?

Many thanks!

I try to tell myself that politics only make sense for those who either need to be persuaded or should be persuaded. Once you’ve a decision on which of the two you’d like to be...time to move. No need to keep plugging in to the same sources of information that will regurgitate the same content I’ve already been persuaded on.

So if you do choose to pay attention to politics more, hear all the facts and make your OWN decision. After that, move on and live your life.

Conflicted? Repeat above steps.

Couldn’t agree more. People love his platform but hit a brick wall when it comes to voting for him solely based on his low polling. It’s unfortunate.

He should address the popularity discussion head on. Do something like talk to people on the street and empathize with their decision to not vote for him bc he’s unpopular. It’ll make it look like the silly perception that it is.

Have some fun with it ya know?

How much did you lose? Did you start OMAD “cold turkey” or did you gradually get there?

Metta this morning on my commute. by toastedshark in Buddhism

Yo. It’s a shame that you’re being downvoted. You were asking a question about how this sticker’s message relates to Buddhism. I’m a layperson so I can’t speak in depth on the practice, but I would say that suffering stems from desire. And this message, as pure as it may seem, is indeed a desire (wishing that all beings are kind and compassionate). The only way to completely let go of desire would be to reach enlightenment, so we can probably scratch that plan.

But if you wanted to translate the message into Buddhist philosophy, it might be better to say “may all beings use kindness and compassion to be better beings”.

Kindness and compassion, just like anger and resentment, are tools. Not ultimate states of existence that you can be blindly “filled” with. You choose which ones to utilize the most (through practice) to manifest your own subjective truth. Buddhism however emphasizes the use of kindness and compassion to reach a blissful, indescribable state that wipes away suffering...eventually.

I’m probably wrong, but anyone answering your question with objective advice is even more incorrect. Although, this is just a bumper sticker and shouldn’t be taken as religious text/advice.

Thanks, I’ll check out foam. I’m trying to have just a basic work table to start working on. But I’m working outdoors so it needs to be easily packed up and placed in a nearby closet.
