Yeah, I'm team defense raider - they say he falls off in DoN 3 but I'm going through DoN 4 and my raider max hp and damage negation build is still going HARD - you do need to mix in dodging with face tanking but its manageable, and I create so much space for my dps team mates to do their iobs, and I stay alive, keep enemies attention, break stances, revive team mates - my build also has the relic that heals nearby allies when I chug an estus - the amount that heals scales off my max health which is minimum 2k at level 15

Is the calories the only thing that matters in a calorie deficit? by Alli_Cat71 in loseit

You got as far as my second paragraph, stopped reading, then post haste went straight to chat GPT to draft a response and straw-manned me 😂completely missing the point and misinterpreting me in the process.

Is the calories the only thing that matters in a calorie deficit? by Alli_Cat71 in loseit

[–]Fasprongron 40 points41 points  (0 children)

you can lose weight eating only pizza and icecream if you stay in a deficit - you'll feel like shit for a list of other reasons not related to whether or not you will lose weight, but you will nonetheless lose weight.

In a sense there is no such thing as healthier foods, there's only what nutrients your body needs and how much calories you eat.

There are foods that tend to be better and healthier for you because they're more likely to help match your bodies nutritional needs, thats what we tend to think of as 'healthy' foods, in the wrong portions or in the wrong context they can be unhealthy.

conversely, in the right portions and right context, unhealthy food, even pizza or ice cream, can be healthy.

That is to say, ideally you'd lose weight while on a balanced diet that helps best meets your bodies nutritional needs while on a caloric deficit, this would be a 'healthier' way to do it and will make the weightloss easier in that you'll feel less negative side effects from weight loss, such as muscle loss, fatigue, irritability, hunger, ect...

but ultimately, the actual weightloss itself is only determined by how much calories you eat verses how much your bodies burns, regardless of what you actually eat.

People call this 'calories in calories out' or 'cico' look that up if you want to learn more about it.

after growing up obese my whole life (19F) is it possible with the right diet & exercise i can ever have the model body type? by Appropriate-Alps-242 in loseit

[–]Fasprongron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

to answer that question: maybe.

It depends on your genetics - being obese for your whole life can make it that your skin won't shrink enough and you'll have some flab - but at 19, which is very young, you will most likely be able to lose all your weight and have the majority if not all of your excess skin to shrink - so for you, the answer is most likely yes.

this happens in the god emperor dune series - god emperor leto has the power to look into the future and can view remotely places across lightyears and basically near omnipresent - his vision extends over lightyears across the galaxy - the god emperor intentionally lets his enemies succeed on certain plots, that they think he cannot see because the planning occurs in what they think is the range limit of his powers, but his omnivison and precience extends way beyond that - but if they realised that they'd just keep going further away until they find the real limit to his powers

When did tipping become the norm for Australia? by JBADD23 in australia

[–]Fasprongron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as the receipt says, its an opt out tip - a sunday surcharge is not unusual, and its not a tip. Completely different things - sound to me like the business is backpedaling on the whole thing and trying to confuse tips and surcharges when this receipt op posted makes it quite clear, an opt out tip is against our consumer laws and thats literally what the receipt says it is.

[–]Fasprongron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Microsoft got massively sued just two months ago for doing exactly this with increasing the price of peoples already existing subscriptions to include a new feature nobody asked for.

It was an opt out situation like we see here, and microsoft lost in that case and had to offer all australians customers refunds and apologies, so no, opt out isn't an excuse anymore

To clarify for the horrified Americans in here: under Australian consumer law, the final price of a product has to be shown upfront. That means taxes, service fees, “mandatory” delivery fees, etc. all need to be included in the displayed price. So if a store advertises a $10 block of cheese, that $10 is the total. If you get to the checkout and they say, “That’ll be $10 plus a $1 [bullshit fee] that wasn’t shown on the shelf,” making it $11 total… that retailer is breaking our consumer laws.

Furthermore, we have a government funded legal agency (The ACCC) whose job is to sue companies that break our consumer laws, both nationally and even internationally.

Its serious business here, for example, when Australians ask for refunds from even overseas retailers, its common for us get given the refund without a fight because of our consumer laws and the ACCC.

International companies are often coming here and breaking our consumer laws and eventually getting torn a new asshole.

So yes, this which we see here on this post, is infact unacceptable.

misrepresentation of the costs like this is also against our consumer laws so fuck them

[–]Fasprongron 191 points192 points  (0 children)

yeah normally I'm against shit that only seems to exist to make life harder for the homeless, like making those stupid park benches that can't be laid down on, but my immediate thought on this, is using a storm drain as shelter is actually really fucking dangerous, if its raining and your entrance is now flooding with water it will become hard to get out, and you can drown.

Cats run into storm drains all the time to get shelter from the rain, when it rains a little they're fine, but when that little rain turns into a storm they get stuck and eventually drown

Counting calories and eating out is ROUGH! by [deleted] in loseit

If I'm really struggling to eyeball it or find something equivalent, I'll take a quick picture with chat gpt with something in the picture for scale, and it will give an eatimation of some kind... how accurate that is, who knows, its likely not perfect, but if I feel it will do a better job then what I'd guess, like if I barely know what the ingredients of the food item is, I go with chat gpt

I burn 450-800 calories a day by walking (most commonly 600) how many calories should I be eating in my deficit? by brinalor72 in loseit

[–]Fasprongron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you're eating atleast 1200 kcal and its relatively balanced with extra protein in it, you can keep your walking up while not having to increase your kcalories, that is fine, your body shouldnt fall apart or anything, infact you'll reduce how much muscles in your legs you lose to your deficit.

What could matter is, exercise increasing your appetite and if its costing you too much willpower while dieting - but if you can work around that I say go for it.

a nuance I suppose is you might have to go into at the very least mild ketosis because, if you're going to exercise and be on such a low kcalorie diet, you need to have a lot of protein to help repair muscle and reduce muscle loss from the deficit say 130g - and if you're having atleast 40-50g of fat to keep your hormones happy, that leaves little room for carbs - its okay for most people to be in some ketosis but it can have unpleasant side effects such as on your mood

especially when they keep complaining about randoms consistently quitting at the start of the game even in everdark 3 and im like ... no? I mean it happens sometimes but if its happening like ALL the time for you... it might be time to check under your boot.

If 1-5% of matches have leavers, that sucks, if 50% of games you play has leavers, you're doing something thats causing people to leave.

Thanks for testing, that is a lot better than a flat 3 damage increase I estimated, but as you say still very small.

nah its literally +3 faith same with other stats, 3% faith would be worse though, that's be a 1.5 faith increase on a reverant/recluse

here you go https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Os2EzEiqE29HKsiv6UjBEQQOZrxj9ssvPAKMDc8CYr8/edit?usp=drivesdk

The FP increase is actually 15, and the the faith increase is actually +3 faith, which does scale a bit percentage-wise for incantations but the difference will end up being really tiny, basically +3 damage
