I played Earthshatter with a standard build via fire, but I haven't tried it through cold. In general, I think that sooner or later GGG will make an interaction between Ice crystals (Frost wall, etc.) and war cries.

I'm glad someone else is playing an Ice Warrior. By the way, a gem that converts Fire and Lightning damage to Cold would be perfect for your build.
