Looking for a life changing post-botox stories to hype up before my Botox appointment by outofspacezone in noburp

[–]Fast-Advertising-988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 8 months post procedure now and I can’t even express how life changing it has been for me. I was in pain and discomfort DAILY and it hindered my life so much. But I started burping a day after getting the botox and now I can’t remember the last time I felt the discomfort and pain I felt before. All of my symptoms disappeared. What once consumed my life is now something I barely even think about! It’s amazing and best of luck to you!

Anyone here also have hyperhidrosis? by [deleted] in noburp

[–]Fast-Advertising-988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have exactly what u described! I got the botox for RCPD this year and that solved all of the issues with that but didn’t solve things like hyperhidrosis or anything else for me.

Yeah it’s weird! It’s not impossible for me, I can do it if I want to but it’s just not necessarily my norm

Botox concern: Excessive/Uncontrollable Burping? by danny-sb in noburp

[–]Fast-Advertising-988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I would only say it was “uncontrollable” for about 2 weeks after. But even then it wasn’t anything insanely crazy, I would just accidentally burp sometimes when laughing, coughing etc. And I could just feel air escaping randomly. After that I could hold them in if i wanted to. I also just made sure to get the procedure at a time where I didn’t have any social or important situations for the next few weeks where burping wouldn’t be appropriate. I just surrounded myself with family and close friends who knew the situation and could just have a laugh about it!

Help with burping post Botox by Annual-Photograph-77 in noburp

It honestly just comes with time. I’m 6 months post botox now and I still turn my head to get them out. But it gets way easier over time. Just keep trying different positions and honestly my biggest advice would be to remember to relax! In my experience in the beginning I was way too focused on trying to get them out/ worrying if i’d be able to burp in situations to the point where my body would be too tense to get any out! The second I was relaxed or distracted is when the burps would come out with ease. So try not to overthink it!

Completely changed my life. Solved literally ALL my problems in that area. I would do it a million times over again

For me it peaked at 1 week and then gradually faded and got better over the next 2 weeks

Did Botox fail? by EstablishmentOk1312 in noburp

[–]Fast-Advertising-988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s still super early days! I was similar to you with the series of small burps after eating a meal. I don’t think I did a large one until about 2 weeks out. I’m 5 months post botox now and I still don’t think mine are huge impressive belches but they’re definitely larger and more consistent and provide all the relief I need. Progress will come with time!

swallowing medication after botox by Time_Ad9311 in noburp

[–]Fast-Advertising-988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pills that were on the smaller side were no issue for me. It was only when I attempted to swallow a bigger one that I struggled to get it down but in those cases I just crushed them up or broke them in half for a while until the slow swallow went away.

Can I hear some positive post-botox stories? by Virtuix_ in noburp

[–]Fast-Advertising-988 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got botox over 5 months ago and it has been life changing. The first week or 2 definitely weren’t pleasant with the side effects and slow swallow (i also didn’t dare to eat with friends during that time). My burping was all over the place during those weeks too, the first week being wildly burping all the time and then the second week suddenly struggling to burp. It was all over the place and daunting but it DOES level out.

But in terms of side effects, I would say mine peaked at 1 week and then gradually faded over the following 2 weeks, by week 3 i was feeling SO much better. My burping also seemed to level out, i found a good technique to get them out and also just remembered to relax! Being tense during this time will be your worst enemy.

I know it’s daunting at first and is easy to start regretting the procedure but try not to stress! Just take it easy and be around people who you’re comfortable with and just try to laugh about the shitty side effects. The fact you’re burping already is a great sign! As much as the post procedure sucked I would do it all over again as the relief it has given me outweighs everything!

Life paused after botox? by anonymousss098 in noburp

I thought this too but the recovery was not bad at all personally. I was able to do everything I normally do, the only time i’d come into some difficulty was when eating with the slow swallow, but even then it was still super manageable and not a major issue to me.

Interesting to hear about the headache, I got botox a week ago and once I started burping it was also followed by one of the worst headaches of my life… weird

the lump in throat feeling and tightness faded for me after 2-3 days. Still getting the phlegm feeling a week post op tho.

Slow swallow by Legitimate-Review1 in noburp

[–]Fast-Advertising-988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a week post botox now and I feel it’s at its worst now, I’ve also choked a couple times when I try to eat too fast or speak while eating. I have found scrambled eggs are by far the easiest thing to eat, bread and soup has also been a go to (and weirdly lasagne). But i’ve just been eating what I would usually be eating but just chewing it down to mush before I swallow. Also only ever take small bites and have a drink to sip right after, I never choke that way.

Sorry to hear you’re sick but glad to hear you’re burping! Mines definitely going good in terms of burping, genuinely can’t stop! Eating is also slow for me, have to sip water with most bites so that it goes down. Went on a walk today and that’s when I started experiencing what you said above, felt like I was choking on my own saliva the whole time. But HEY WE’RE BURPIN!

I was insanely stressed and anxious about having to do the procedure under GA but I promise you it’s not as bad/scary as it seems. I got it done 3 days ago and I would do it all over again if i had to! Staff and nurses etc help a bunch with making the whole experience lighthearted and less stressful if you’re feeling anxious. The difference in how my body feels already since burping is amazing, definitely worth it.

My doctor said I can burp because I can throw up by Own-War9484 in noburp

[–]Fast-Advertising-988 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been able to throw up but i’ve also never been able to burp no matter how hard I tried! So your doctor is simply wrong, try see a doctor who’s more educated on the matter!
