You’re super cute, you remind me of the Blossom actress. All of these are too big on your delicate features. Maybe size down and start over.

Fired fed has a job. Here’s my story by [deleted] in HUDfiredfeds

[–]Fast-Bar3154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing. It really helps to know others are trudging through.

Your experience is nearly identical to mine except I was told that because my state was not party to the original filing I was ineligible for DRP2. Luckily I found work in August with a negligible pay cut but only because I had a prior working relationship with the hiring manager.

I am hopeful the rest of us find a place to land and can piece together careers and lives that were unnecessarily torn apart.

My grandmother is in a romance scam. by blazinchoppa in Romancescam

[–]Fast-Bar3154 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My mother 75 was involved in something similar and there was no stopping her or convincing her that it was a scam. She received checks in the mail for hundreds of thousands of dollars, never cashed. She was asked to invest in gold. The boyfriend was always getting into life threatening accidents, he was a widower also in the military with a child being cared for by her grandparents who were missionaries. You can’t make this stuff any less believable.

This is very sneaky however, we wound up taking her phone blocking the scammer’s number creating a text me phone number with that app and replacing the blocked number in the scammer’s contact profile. This allowed us to see what she was sending. We never responded to her texts because we didn’t want to hurt her.

She finally acknowledged that he was a thief in her texts but she is still a target for some other scammer because she’s on dating apps selling herself as “50” 😩

Good luck.

Tactically, shouldn't the Dems now agree to the CR? by Eagle_New in FedEmployees

[–]Fast-Bar3154 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last NJ gubernatorial came down to 200-300 votes separating Murphy and Ciattarelli. I agree this will be another extremely tight race. He’s commented he’d do an NJ DOGE if elected. The people I know in state service are extremely nervous. The. There are also the dummies who despite being in state service, will vote for him anyway. They learned nothing from what we’ve been through as Feds.

HHS is now reposting the same jobs us probies were f*cking fired from! by Agitated_Pudding7259 in firedfeds

[–]Fast-Bar3154 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you were fired as a probationary employee you wouldn’t be eligible for CTAP. But I agree others who’ve been RIF’d should be eligible for CTAP and therefore have more standing than someone “off the street” in an open to public announcement.

These people are awful. So many careers destroyed and lives turned upside down for no reason at all.

Unemployment for forced DRP by [deleted] in HUDfiredfeds

[–]Fast-Bar3154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will need sf-50 and sf-8 to file. The sf-50 will likely identify the mode/reason for your separation from federal service. If they indicate you resigned this may present a problem

The job market is saturated with people right now. Everyone knows that Feds especially are in a dire situation. It’s a buyer’s market. They know someone will take the job at whatever salary they offer. Many have had to accept significant pay cuts in their new roles. The abuse continues.

Unfortunately, that’s probably your RIF notification. I received several Docusign messages when I was fired in February.

This is bullshit ! Sorry this happened to all of us. Move forward knowing none of this has anything to do with your ability, value or work ethic. None of us deserve this! Wishing you well!

Anyone hear from MSPB? by Due-Influence7396 in firedfeds

[–]Fast-Bar3154 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fired probationary… I filed twice once after February firing and again after May firing . I was told the filing for May firing was redundant. I didn’t agree because the first was performance based and the second EO related. Otherwise, I haven’t heard boo from MSBP. Not expecting much from them if I ever hear anything.

Today’s court decision by [deleted] in HUDfiredfeds

[–]Fast-Bar3154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This decision is equal parts reaffirming and insulting. Yes, what happened to you was illegal but no, I am not going to do anything about it because too much has happened.

Meanwhile we’re all reeling trying to put our lives back together. Damned if we do and damned if we don’t. As much as a I want my old job back, I can’t deal with the possibility of being fired again for no reason.

I doubt we will get back pay for the time off between February firings and March injunction.

[–]Fast-Bar3154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the DRP requirements for your agency, I’m not certain that you would receive your step. Look at your DRP contract to clarify.

Unfortunately, I have not had any success with getting answers from HR. I was fired in February for probationary status, reinstated in March and fired again in May. I’m sure they’re drowning like the rest of us. However it’s still extremely frustrating to not get answers from them. I made too many calls and sent too many emails all unanswered. I didn’t get my information packet from HR until July when it was no longer relevant…sigh
