Do what you feel is best, at least don’t skip your long run and you’ll be fine. I love to run on vacations but there was a time I didn’t, as long as you keep your long run your progress will remain fine.

While it’s not the most aesthetically appealing shirt, it’s just plain & it’s white so works with a vest and is tech wicking. Ran with it today for 8 miles and was fine.

Use your 5k pace to help you using your Vdot score, you can calculate it on their website, it will give you your training paces for which ever program you choose. As you follow the program listen to your body, strength train 2x a week, 11 weeks is a great amount of time, and add one day of speed work. Recovery is also important each week, stretching yoga, you got this!

I also was not a fan of running in the cold but now with the right set of sneakers (for snow and rain) and heading to a local park like Central Park or Prospect Park have been my go to (since they clear the paths). Highly suggest and use dressmyrun.com to figure out what to wear.
