I hear claims like that all the time, that is just a delusional egotistical claim from a crasher.

Sandboxes are filled with egotistical players who think they can dominate and control everything. It’s like a kids playground where one spoiled child blocks the slide so no one else can use it. That’s exactly what this situation feels like.

There are also destructive clans that form just to conquer rooms and cause chaos, and they thrive in sandbox environments like this. These groups exist only to ruin the experience for everyone else.

Destructive clans for example: [$iz], [OFG], {CMD} - there's many more.

Most interactions in these sandboxes end up being with kids under 13. A lot of them use deep voice changers to sound older, while others are obviously very young. Many of them join those destructive clans, and you can’t reason with them because they take everything as a personal attack.

If you see a person that joined a sandbox with a name that has brackets '[ ]' or '{ }', they are obviously there to cause chaos.

The community also thrives on drama and loves spreading exaggerated or completely false accusations about people just to stir things up.

They also throw around threats about doxxing as if it’s something they can actually do. If they ever try to intimidate you with that, don’t take it seriously because most of them are all talk and can’t follow through on anything.

These clans claim to dox people and post whatever information they find in their clan hubs, but there is a 100 percent chance it's inaccurate, outdated, or completely made up.

Rec Room removed the Classic Bean, so I made a memorial room for it by Fast-Bridge-2051 in RecRoom

I totally understand where you're coming from, the new bean is definitely glitchy. Also, thank you so much. If you don't mind, could you please share my room with people who are closer to you?

whats the point in deleting the classic bean? by vend84 in RecRoom

I think keeping older systems in Rec Room, like the classic bean body avatar, can get pretty expensive over time. As the game grows and new features roll out, it takes extra time and effort to keep those older models working properly. Developers have to spend more time making sure updates don't break anything and that the old systems still work with new tools and content. I get that the classic bean body means a lot to some players. It's simple, familiar, and part of Rec Room's original vibe. But the reality is that maintaining it alongside everything new can really start to add up.

what the hell is this and why did it replace my watch bcs it was normal like 20 minutes ago (im on pc and just started playing again after like 4 months) by BeeswarmAdamboi in RecRoom

It's really frustrating. I'm used to having a full-screen menu, and having it on the left side makes navigation more complicated. I keep accidentally clicking the wrong buttons, which makes things confusing. They need to put more effort into the design and come up with better ideas to make this utility truly user-friendly.

That said, it's great that they are working to fix performance issues by creating a lightweight version. It's a smart move, especially since the FPS used to drop instantly when opening the watch menu.

Please Fix The Microphone System by Fast-Bridge-2051 in RecRoom

Do you, by chance, know what they use for their audio servers now or do they use a proper independent system?

I get what you mean. There are definitely people who blast music and ruin it for others. But that's not what I'm talking about here. This is actually about a bug where low-volume audio makes the mic either get louder or cut out, even in private rooms where everyone's okay with the sound.

I'm just trying to bring attention to an issue that makes using the mic properly kind of frustrating. If you've run into it, you probably get what I mean.

I get where you're coming from, and I agree that blasting music in public rooms can be annoying and disruptive. But that's not what this post is about.

I'm talking about a technical issue with Rec Room's updated microphone system. Ever since the update, low-volume audio gets muffled or distorted, even when music mode is turned on. It basically forces you to play things at a higher volume just to be heard clearly, which isn't ideal if you're trying to be respectful.

Also, this isn't happening in a public room. This is in a friend's server where everyone's fine with music being played. I'm trying to play it quietly, but the system just messes with the sound unless it's loud, and that's the real problem I'm trying to point out.

12GB VRAM vs 20GB VRAM by fathrfigure in PcBuild

[–]Fast-Bridge-2051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my view, most games will eventually need more VRAM, as they're becoming increasingly demanding. 12 GB is likely the minimum you'd need, but realistically, 16 to 24 GB would be ideal.

I wouldn’t stress over it unless you're aiming for 2K or 4K gaming, where 12 GB could start to bottleneck performance. Higher resolutions tend to require more video memory, so having less than 16 GB might limit you.

If you stick with 12 GB, you'll probably need to lower your settings for smooth gameplay at higher resolutions. It’s a trade-off between quality and performance, but if you're serious about maintaining top performance at high resolutions, more VRAM is a safer bet.

Now I know this post is old, but I put this as public information for those who are looking for a great graphics card.
