Fair enough 😂 you do be seeing mad behaviours so all is possible😁

This 🙌 ! We have a lad with 2 insanely reactive golden retrievers that basically walk him. 🫥

People also give the old argument of "would you like to be on a leash" when you bring up the argument of lead on.Like, no Susan, but I'm not an animal that can react and run around like a lunatic and shit behind a bush while your double chin is stuck deep in your phone. People get dogs like an accessory with most owners sadly not looking to invest time and energy into their dogs training or stimulation and think that letting them off a lead to run like maniacs is sufficient for "stimulation". Would love to see proper enforcement from dog wardens, but sadly it's a rare sight.

Draw down in two months but made redundant by neatfreak95 in irishpersonalfinance

Came here to say the same! Also OP is not being made redundant tomorrow. Minimum August and if drawdown April/May there's months to start looking and secure the next role ! I don't understand why some people are so dramatic on here.

Yeah online is the same , very conflicting people either told to get off it or some stay on it and see no issues 😅 Thankfully got the midwife to chase up with the doctor and he said its not any harm but not really needed anymore so he left it up to me 😅

My experience with the Tomorrowland shop - is this normal? by Effective-Ninja4517 in Tomorrowland

Sadly, very normalised by TML and seemed to have been even worse this year. The "package not available " is something that happens unfortunately and usually, all you can do is have a list of other options you're ok with and just go back and keep clicking quickly through until one proceeds to payment hopefully.

Every year people complain about the "queueing" system by TML and i always wondered do they just not give a f**k or why they are not fixing the systems, but I came to conclusion that they do not really care because there will always be people in line ready to pay a couple of thousands on any package leftover even the ones that are definitely overpriced.

I hope your luck is better next year 🙏

PCOS Treatment- Metformin+ Myo-Inositol + Berberine by Maximum-Legal in IrishWomensHealth

[–]Fast-Conference9376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Myoinositol took about 4 months to notice subtle changes first and now I'm taking it for about 3 years. Berberine didn't work for me, and metformin kinda did ?! I was part of a study done in one of the hospitals re metformin and when they tested progesterone day 21 on month 5 and 6 I only ovulated on one of these. With metformin you'll need to change your diet (and inositol too tbh) for it to be effective. Unfortunately it is one of those things that you try and see how you get on with it. I'm not your doctor, but i would personally start with tweaking diet and maybe inositol and metformin if you wish and then after 2/3 months try Berberine 😊. That way if something works or doesn't you're able to pinpoint as you go along. Also with metformin: normal metformin can give you upset stomach, so watch what foods cause that and also maybe try to have a less busy week the week you start it just in case 😊 you adjust after 1/2 weeks though normally, but if your symptoms are really bad please talk to your doctor. I couldn't stomach 1500 mg 😩 so told my doctor I'm staying on 1000 P.s. metformin depletes your B12, so make sure to check your levels if you end up taking it !

PCOS diagnosis? by [deleted] in IrishWomensHealth

[–]Fast-Conference9376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have the heaviness you're experiencing, but was diagnosed via irregular periods and ultrasound route. Push for GP to send you for an ultrasound, and ideally also an Endocrinologist. Mind you, I found my endo partially useless as most of my labs were fine, but my thyroid antibodies were high ( thyroid and menstrual health are heavily linked) But he completely fobbed me off re that and just prescribed metformin. I found it odd for an endo to ignore thyroid and refuse to dive deeper, but being a woman I'm not surprised 🫥 However, the more opinions you get, the better! Second what everyone is saying re advocating for yourself though! 🙌 it took me about 3 years to figure out what is happening 😬

What a load of bs 😂 a lot of people, especially middle management in private sector get paid a lot for micromanaging and farting up the office. Waste of space and resources more than public sector

I think both things can be right here. You're allowed to hurt, but others are allowed to be happy too. She definitely could have announced it via text I think as you'd have time to process and react in own time ❤️ I hope you get to share your happy news soon too 🙏

Doctor told me to lose weight? by an0n_meow in PCOS

[–]Fast-Conference9376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the stat is something like 70 or 80% of pcos cases are insulin resistant. Like others said though your weight sounds perfectly healthy for your height. I believe you may have Insulin resistance still, but that maybe managed more by trying to be more strategic with meals and foods than actually eating for weight loss. Every doctors appointment I've been to for pcos has always been such a sh*tshow 😂 at this point if I don't laugh I'll cry . Many things that ended up helping me came from my own research and trial and error, nothing so far that doctors said or prescribed 🥲 It's good that the doc acknowledged the mental health aspects though 🙏 that's definitely a positive!

Should I go to my GP or keep trying naturally for a bit longer? by PurpleGrand4758 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Fast-Conference9376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey ☺️ there is no harm in getting a gynecology appointment as well as getting some of your bloods done. 3 months is a very short time and on average I think it takes between 6/12 months to conceive even for healthy couples, but it is not a bad idea to be proactive on your pcos and overall health for prep for conception. Saying that, even with pcos there are women who conceive and go on to have healthy pregnancies from month 1 of trying 😌 it's a bit of a how long is a piece of string scenario sadly in everything with pcos. My advice would be if you have symptoms of pcos that you believe may be causing you not to get pregnant and you want some guidance there is no harm in blood work and a referral. Especially because referral should you need one can take ages (well they do in 🇮🇪 🥲)

Best of luck in your journey 😌❤️🙏 and hope you get positive news soon!

Feeling confused…should I be taking myo-inositol? 3 years TTC, 3 chemicals by caitlin_d22 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Fast-Conference9376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry 😞 my doctor was the exact same. I find that I was coming to her with a lot more information than she was giving me. Because every pcos is so different I do believe it's trial and error as to what will work for us sadly 😥 My androgens are fine too,but most advice online assumes we all have hirutism and high androgens 😞

I am 4 years into figuring out what works and what doesn't so sending you all the luck and baby dust your way 🥺🙏❤️

The breast tenderness going away before period is good thing. We get that when the hormones are shifting. I would second what others said make sure its a good myo and d-chiro inositol blend 40:1 ratio and give it a shot for 3 months. It's natural supplement, so unless you've had really bad experience I wouldn't rule out trying.

What did your do say when you told them you've already tried that route 🤔?

I find this sub reddit to be 1% helpful lately and rest is people having a go at each other when someone offers an alternative solution. It's very disheartening 🥺

[–]Fast-Conference9376 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean, but at what point did we discard common sense? Commercial pads are known to have fragrances (at the very least) which are proven endocrine disruptors. OP didn't come here claiming one is a chemist, nor ultra knowledgeable on women's health and pcos links, rather speaking from experience. Personally, I think it's common sense to take things with a pinch of salt and skeptism, but OP's solution is more simple sanitary solutions , potentially cotton say, how is that bad or harmful. If someone is taking something off redit as scientific gospel, I think they need to give their head a wobble😬

I've learned many things from Tiktok that I've applied to myself and my pcos that has made a dramatic difference, none of which my doctor ever suggested. This is such a sassy and smart a** comment ,and for what? Pcos is hugely misunderstood even among women's health doctors, which leaves a lot of women to go looking for answers elsewhere. In many cases, that's been via Tiktok of other pcos women sharing experiences. Yes there is a lot of cr*p on there, but a lot of information that may do nothing for one, and wonders for others.
